MAYFIELD - A Gloversville woman drove drunk and crashed in Mayfield Sunday, New York State Police said.

Police identified the woman as Kirsten M. Edwards, 61, of Gloversville.

She taken to Nathan Littauer for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

She now faces one count of felony driving while intoxicated and vehicle and traffic law violations.

The crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of County Road 102 in Mayfield, police said. Troopers responded there for a report of a one-car crash off the roadway.

A sample was taken to determine the alcohol content of her blood. Police also determined she had a previous DWI conviction in the past 10 years, police said.

She was processed and released to a sober third party to appear in court later.Â
