BYC set to host annual golf tourney
BROADALBIN — The 17th Annual Broadalbin Youth Commission Golf Tournament will be held “rain or shine” on June 8 at Holland Meadows Golf Course at 8 a.m.
The cost will be $85.00 per person and includes beverages on the course, food at the turn and a reception at the course immediately following.
Other activities include putting, hole-in-one, men’s/women’s longest drive and nearest to the pin contests.
Proceeds from the tournament go towards the construction of the Broadalbin Town Park. The Youth Commission typically provides opportunities for children to fill more than 750 team slots available in sports that include baseball, football, softball, soccer (spring and fall) and basketball. These opportunities are available to all children in the Broadalbin-Perth School District. The BYC ensures that registration fees are not a barrier to participation.
Progress continues at the Town Park on Union Mills Road just east of the Town Hall. In addition to the playing fields and picnic pavilion, a walking track and playground are included in the facility plan.
