Golf tournament slated for June 9

BROADALBIN — The 16th annual Broadalbin Youth Commission Golf Tournament will be held “rain or shine” on June 9 at the Holland Meadows Golf Course.

The event will begin at 8 a.m. and the cost will be $85.00 per person and includes beverages on the course, food at the turn and a reception at the course immediately following.

Other activities include putting, hole-in-one, men’s/women’s longest drive and nearest to the pin contests.

Proceeds from the tournament go towards the construction of the Broadalbin Town Park.

The Youth Commission typically provides opportunities for children to fill more than 750 team slots available in sports that include baseball, football, softball, soccer (spring and fall) and basketball. These opportunities are available to all children in the Broadalbin-Perth School District. The BYC ensures that registration fees are not a barrier to participation.

Loopies golf scramble slated

TRIBES HILL — The 12th annual Loopies Pub golf scramble benefit will be held with a shotgun start at noon on June 16 at Fox Run Golf Club.

The fundraiser is in memory of Eric Crane for the Amsterdam High School scholarship program. The cost will be $70 per person and includes greens fees, cart, food and prizes. Prizes and food will be available at Loopies, 410 Mohawk Drive, at 5 p.m..
