THURSDAY, MAY 2

Stillwater defeated Waterford-Halfmoon 5-0 in the Wasaren League behind a complete-game shutout from Shea Brown. Brown allowed three hits and two walks, while racking up 16 strikeouts in the dominating performance. Brody Burdo was 3 for 3 with an RBI.

Shenendehowa took down Colonie with a 17-1 Suburban Council victory. Brad Curtis and Amaar Bhursri each hit home runs, while Bradyden Williams was 3 for 3 with two RBIs. Josh Soroka was 2 for 2 for the Plainsmen, with a triple and five RBIs. Colin Barry started on the mound for Shenendehowa, going five shutout innings, allowing four hits and two walks, while striking out six.

Mayfield defeated Schoharie 12-2, behind a five inning, mercy rule no-hitter from Colin Handy in the Western Athletic Conference. Kameron Johnson went 3 for 4 in the win, with the mercy-rule walk-off and two RBIs.

Fonda-Fultonville defeated Canajoharie 13-3 in a mercy-rule win. Zeb Whitcavitch led the way with three hits, including a home run and two RBIs. Jake Hernigle also homered in the win, while Keegan Croucher went 2 for 4.

Maple Hill topped Germantown 14-4 in a Patroon Conference mercy-rule win. Benjamin Reickert had a hit and four RBIs for the Wildcats, while Jacob Germaine and Kaden VanKempen each collected two hits.

Ballston Spa prevailed 5-3 in a tight non-league contest over Schalmont. Jake Nagengast had two hits for the Scotties, and DJ Wallace was 1 for 2 with an RBI. Cameron Daus recorded eight strikeouts over five innings on the mound for Schalmont, allowing just two earned runs.

Cairo-Durham came out of the gates with an 11-run first inning, in what became a 18-11 win over Tamarac. Andrew Searing-Burke was 2 for 3 for Cairo-Durham with three RBIs, and Jake Young was 1 for 4 with three RBIs. Dylan Gerik had a double and two RBIs for Tamarac.

Taconic Hills nailed down a 9-2 victory over Albany, as Brandon Rossano racked up 12 strikeouts in the complete game win. Gavin Hartka and Tyler Peck each had three hits for Taconic Hills.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 1

Broadalbin-Perth scored five runs in the first inning en route to a 14-5 Foothills Council victory over Amsterdam. Mike Eglin went 4 for 4 with three RBIs and a run to lead the Patriots. Garrett Jackowski doubled, drove in three and scored a run. Bradley Savoie doubled, drove in two and scored three runs. Jude Flint doubled twice, drove in a run and scored twice for the Rams. Ross Sanders had two singles and an RBI.

Caelan Porter scored the only run in the first inning on Aiden Banks’ single, as Gloversville beat Scotia-Glenville 1-0. Porter also got the pitching win.

Schuylerville edged Queensbury 4-3. Jackson Dunbar’s single provided the go-ahead run. Griffin Brophy and Luke Sherman each had two hits and an RBI. For Queensbury, Jacob Wolf hit an RBI triple. Frankie Ovitt and Jake Keshmiri each added a double and an RBI.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk topped Albany Academy 8-6. Ravena put up six runs in the first inning. Thomas Burns went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a run for the winners. Brady Sears went 2 for 4 with a solo homer for Albany Academy. Manny Santos and Nico DeSanto each had two hits and two runs for the Cadets.

La Salle used a six-run first inning as the catalyst in its 10-7 win over Mohonasen. Donovan Lettieri went 2 for 3 with a double and RBI to lead the Cadets. Andrew Crux was 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Mohonasen. Danny Corsaro had a single, two RBis and two runs.

Cohoes doubled up Lansingburgh 8-4. Nick Chicaway went 2 for 5 with two RBIs for the Tigers. Jeremiah Strock was 1 for 2.

Voorheesville earned a 4-3 walk-off win over Cobleskill-Richmondville. Trevor Prancl doubled and drove in two for the Blackbirds. Nicholas Romansky struck out 10 in earning the victory. Brody Becker went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for Cobleskill-Richmondville.

Duanesburg defeated Fort Plain 11-1 in five innings in the Western Athletic Conference. Evan Williams went 3 for 3 with two doubles and three runs. Logan Kapusta also was 3 for 3 with a double. Fort Plain’s Bryce Rumrill went 1 for 2.

Fonda-Fultonville swept a doubleheader from Berne-Knox-Westerlo, 7-6 and 13-1. Fonda-Fultonville rallied with four runs in the last two innings of the first game. Ethan Richardson was 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Fonda-Fultonville. Hunter Smith was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI and a run for the Bulldogs. In the second game, Keegan Croucher was 3 for 3 with four RBIs and two runs. Joey Susi had two doubles, three RBis and two runs. Jacob Sheldon was 2 for 4 with a double and four RBIs. Matt Dwyer had the Bulldogs’ lone RBI.

In the first game of a doubleheader, Middleburgh topped Galway 10-2. Derrick Fuller struck out eight to earn the complete-game win. Hunter Nelson and Ben Croote each had two RBIs. For Galway, Andy Miller had two hits, while Tyler Friedman struck out 10 through 5 2-3 innings.

Shenendehowa improved to 7-1 in the Suburban Council with an 8-4 win over Guilderland. Ian Oehischlaeger doubled twice and scored two runs. Brad Curtis doubled and drove in two, while Blake Mello added two singles. Kyler Ackert had two RBis to lead the Dutchmen. Ryan Thompson doubled and singled.

Niskayuna topped Columbia 4-2 to improve to 7-1 in the league and 12-1 overall. Parker Aikens struck out 10 over 5 1-3 innings. Alex Kerr had two hits and an RBI, while Martin Ryan had an RBI single. Michael Polsinelli struck out three for his second save.

Blake Kilgallon went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs as Averill Park downed Bethlehem 9-5. CJ Franchini hit a double, home run, drove in three and scored to lead Bethlehem.

Matt Sgambati struck out 10 over six innings to lead CBA to a 1-0 win over Colonie.

Troy edged Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 2-1, and Saratoga Springs beat Shaker 12-2.

Hoosick Falls got by rival Hoosic Valley 4-3 in the Wasaren League Cole Ziehm hit an RBI triple to tie it in the sixth inning, and later scored the go-ahead run on a groundout by AJ Brown.

Eli King struck out 11 in picking up the victory. Andrew Sparks had a double and RBI. Austin Brown’s two singles and three RBIs led Hoosic Valley.

Mechanicville’s offense rolled in a 19-7 victory over Tamarac. Scotty Lynch led the offense by going 3 for 4 with an RBI. Mark Pingelski and Dimaggio Ferrara each added two hits and an RBI. John Fedorowicz provided three RBIs.

Saratoga Central Catholic shut out Greenwich 10-0. Pierce Byrne struck out 17 in firing a three-hitter. Kihl Kelly went 4 for 5 with two RBIs and two runs. Tyler Weygand was 3 for 5 with an RBI, while Ryan Gillis was 2 for 4 with a double, two RBIs and a run. Ryan Ingber had two singles for the Witches.

Waterford-Halfmoon topped Stillwater 7-2. Jack Gilbert went 3 for 4 with a two-run homer for the Fordians. Matt Soden singled, walked twice and scored three runs. Kaden Burdo led Stilwater by going 2 for 2.

Taconic Hills beat Cairo-Durham 8-3 in the Patroon Conference. Francis Conners-Schmid went 3 for 4 with a triple and three runs for Taconic Hills. Zachary Rowe struck out 16 and fired a two-hitter. He also went 4 for 5 with two RBIs. Jake Young struck out 11 for C-D.

Maple Hill downed Berlin/New Lebanon 25-4 in non-league action. Aidan Loszynski went 4 for 4 with two RBIs and five runs in the win. Jacob Germaine went 3 for 5 with an RBI and three runs.

TUESDAY, APRIL 30

Ichabod Crane defeated Chatham 9-2 in a non-league contest. Ryder Herchenroder tossed a complete game, allowing six hits and two unearned runs for the Riders, striking out five. Chase Morrison went 3 for 4 with two home runs and four RBIs. Max Frering and Brady Holzhauer also homered in the win.

MONDAY, APRIL 29

Kyle Franke gave up three hits and struck out seven in six innings, and Schalmont scored three runs in the fifth inning to break away from a one-run lead in a 6-2 Colonial Council win over Cobleskill-Richmondville. Franke had a double, single and two runs, and David Bovia had two hits and two RBIs for the Sabres.

Robert Sicluna hurled a three-hitter with eight strikeouts, and Mike Mann had a double and an RBI for La Salle in a 3-0 Colonial Council win over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk.

Voorheesville rallied from a 7-1 deficit to top Cohoes 10-8. Nick Suits went 2 for 3 with two RBIs to lead the Blackbirds. Chase Phillips drove in three and scored twice. Zackary Garmley doubled, drove in three and scored twice to lead Cohoes.

Alex Rogers homered, singled and drove in four runs, and Blake Shields had a double, single and three RBIs for Broadalbin-Perth in a 16-5 Foothills Council win over Amsterdam. Garrett Jankowski had a triple among four hits and an RBI, and Mike Eglin had a double, two singles and two RBIs for the Patriots. Pat Vidulich had three hits for the Rams. Amsterdam led 13-0 after three.

Queensbury overcame a 5-0 deficit with six runs in the fifth inning and held off Schuylerville 8-6. Nate Barber had a double, single and three RBIs for the Spartans, and Luke Mootz had a double, single and one RBI. Trevor French went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Black Horses, and Lucas Reilly added two hits.

CJ Palluti hit a three-run home run, and winning pitcher Dan Menzies hit a two-run homer for Duanesburg in an 11-4 Western Athletic Conference win over Middleburgh,

Daniel Hussey allowed one earned run and struck out eight in 4 1-3 innings, and Caleb Hussey had a hit and two RBIs for Mekeel Christian Academy in an 11-5 win over Fort Plain.

Hunter Smith turned in an 11-strikeout performance, and Blake Shaver had two hits and an RBI for Berne-Knox-Westerlo in a 6-4 win over Schoharie. GG Lefkaditis also had a pair of hits for BKW.

Braden Fields surrendered five hits over six innings, Nate Figueroa broke a 2-2 tie in the fifth with an RBI single, and Colonie went on to beat Troy 4-2 in the Suburban Council. Brendan Shea hit an RBI double for Colonie.

Ted Gialanella went 3-for-3 with two runs, Chris McLaughlin went 2-for-2 with three runs and an RBI, and Luke Tisenchek had a hit and two RBIs in CBA’s 8-4 win over Shaker. Red Maron went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI to lead Shaker.

Luke Nichols allowed three hits, struck out seven, and came away with a double, single and an RBI to key Hoosick Falls’ 3-2 Wasaren League win over Stillwater. Ryan Sparks also had a double, single and an RBI for the Panthers.

Joe DeVito had two hits and three RBIs, and Cruz Goverski had two hits and one RBI for Mechanicville in a 5-1 win over Greenwich. Will Coreno added two hits for Mechanicville, while on the mound he limited Greenwich to four hits while fanning seven.

Saratoga Central Catholic remained unbeaten (10-0, 14-0) with a 9-0 win over Waterford-Halfmoon. Aidan Crowther struck out eight in firing a one-hitter. Ryan Gillis led the offense by going 4 for 4 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs. Ronan Rowe added three singles and three runs.

Adam Slater homered twice and drove in five runs for Coxsackie-Athens in a 12-2 Patroon Conference win over Maple Hill.

Ryan Walch homered, doubled and had two RBIs to back the three-hit, 11-strikeout pitching of Brandon Rossano in Taconic Hills’ 5-0 victory over Hudson.

SATURDAY, APRIL 27

Carter Wichelns had two doubles among his three hits and had two RBIs to lead Stillwater to a 5-2 Wasaren League win over Hoosick Falls. Stillwater scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI double by Wichelns and a two-run single by Brody Bruno. Bruno had two hits, and David Giso had a double and single.

Mechanicville defeated Greenwich 5-3. Chris Couser struck out 10 in earning the victory. Will Coreno went 2 for 2 with a solo home run for Mechanicville, while Joe Devito and Couser each drove in a run.

Ronan Rowe had a triple and double, and Ryan Gillis struck out seven in three in three innings of relief to lead Saratoga Central Catholic past Waterford-Halfmoon 8-1. Kihl Kelly had a double, single and two RBIs for Saratoga Central Catholic, and Jason Pescetti added two singles and two RBIs.

Tamarac scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to beat Hoosic Valley 4-3. Jacob Smith had three hits for Tamarac. Adam Quackenbush struck out nine in four innings.

Brody Becker and Landon Hulslander each had two singles as Cobleskill-Richmondville beat Duanesburg 5-0 in a non-league game. Becker drove in two runs. Brandon Rotman had a double for the Bulldogs.

Brady Holzhauer pitched a complete-game four hitter and also had two hits in Ichabod Crane’s 5-0 win over Schalmont. Max Frering also had two hits for Ichabod Crane.

Taconic Hills hit four homers in its 15-1 win over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk. Homering for Taconic Hills were Tristan Super, Gavin Hartka, Brandon Rossano and Francis Conners-Schmid.

Albany Academy edged Saratoga Springs 4-3. Manny Santos drove in two runs for the Cadets. Bradt Sears had two singles, Willie Kimbler tripled and Ben Dalto added a double. Patrick McKinley had a double and two RBIs for the Blue Streaks. Camden Rhude had two singles, and Macklan Harris had a double.

Schuylerville won twice. It beat Coxsackie-Athens 12-1 as Jackson Dunbar had a double, single and three RBIs and pitcher Trevor French struck out 10 in five innings. Schuylerville then defeated Corinth 7-3. Griffin Brophy had two hits and two RBIs. Ben VanVeghten also had two hits.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo downed Berlin/New Lebanon 15-3. Blake Shaver led the offense with five hits and four RBIs. Matt Dwyer struck out five over four innings.

FRIDAY, APRIL 26

Steven Heller had a double, single, two runs and two RBIs, and Columbia built an 8-3 lead and held off Averill Park 8-6 in Suburban Council action. Sean Boniface and Andy Gabriel both had two hits and two runs for the Blue Devils, and John DelGrosso had a double and single. Ethan Nardacci paced AP with a home run, double and two RBIs, Tim Thomas had two hits and an RBI, Blake Kilgallon had three hits and Aiden Borton had a double and two RBIs.

Cameron Daus and Devin McTague combined to throw a no-hitter for Schalmont in its 6-1 win over Voorheesville in the Colonial Council. Daus struck out 12 over six innings, and McTague struck out the side in the seventh inning. Logan Mulyca went 3 for 3 with two RBis to lead the offense.

Logan Krause gave up two hits and fanned eight for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk in a 6-0 win over Mohonasen. Wyatt Algozzine had two hits, two runs and an RBI for RCS, Riley Kellam had a hit and two RBIs and Gavin Lochner doubled.

Kyle Bartlett went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, Chase Morrison had a double and an RBI, and Max Frering had a hit and two RBIs for Ichabod Crane in a 6-3 win over La Salle. Dan McCue had a double and single for the Cadets.

Charlie Gendron went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, and Connor Trudeau had a hit and an RBI for Cohoes in an 8-2 win over Cobleskill-Richmondville.

Keegan Croucher, Jake Hernigle and Owen Lewis each had a double and an RBI in four-run, sixth-inning uprising as Fonda-Fultonville edged Mekeel Christian Academy 4-3 in the Western Athletic Conference. Jacob Sheldon had a sacrifice fly in the Braves’ big frame. Dan Hussey had two hits for the Lions, and Caleb Hussey had a hit and an RBI.

Galway topped Berne-Knox-Westerlo 11-5. Eric Bates' two hits led the Bulldogs.

Queensbury put up five runs in the first inning to set the tone for a 9-2 Foothills Council win over Hudson Falls. Frankie Ovitt led the Spartans with three hits, including a double, two RBIs and two runs. Nate Barber had two hits and an RBI, Alex Coombes had a triple and two RBIs, Jake Keshmiri had a hit and two RBIs and Oliver Pratt scattered six hits, fanned nine and allowed one earned run. Kaleb Johnson and Derrick Call both had two hits for Hudson Falls.

Garrett Jackowski pitched a three-hitter, struck out 11 and gave up one earned run as Broadalbin-Perth clipped Gloversville 3-2. Maddox Nachani had a hit and an RBI for the Patriots, and Jackowski doubled. Aiden Banks had a hit and two RBIs for Gloversville.

Aidan Loszynski knocked in four runs with a home run and double, and the senior pitched the last two innings in Maple Hills’ 8-4 Patroon Conference win over Rensselaer.

Gavin Hartka went 2 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and a run to help Taconic Hills edge Greenville 7-6. Tristan Super struck out 10 for the Titans. 

THURSDAY, APRIL 25

Saratoga Catholic averted a Hoosick Falls comeback, preserving a 7-5 Wasaren League victory. Pierce Byrne picked up the win for the Saints, allowing one run on two hits over four innings, with five strikeouts. At the plate, Ronan Rowe had two doubles and three RBIs for Saratoga Catholic, which improved to 12-0 overall.

Stillwater defeated Hoosic Valley 7-3, as Brody Burdo struck out nine over six innings of work for Stillwater, and went 2 for 4 at the plate, with two RBIs. Colden McDonagh was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI and two stolen bases.

Greenwich used a 10-run third inning to mount a comeback in a slugfest against Tamarac, as the Witches ultimately prevailed 22-14. Michael Cronin had four hits and an RBI for Greenwich, while Keegan Clayton had two hits and four RBIs. Owen Brockway and Max Anatriello each added two hits and three RBIs. Tamarac’s Jake Smith contributed two hits and four RBIs, while Troy Karz had four hits and two RBIs.

Canajoharie used two runs in the top of the seventh inning to take down Middleburgh 5-3 in Western Athletic Conference action. Sullevan Stinson came up with the big two-run single for the Cougars. Derrick Fuller tossed 5 1-3 innings, racking up 12 strikeouts in the win, as Cody Hyney and Quin Collins each had three-hit games. Austin Myrhe had a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth for Middleburgh.

Mekeel Christian Academy defeated OESJ 11-3, with Shane Nygaard allowing two hits over six innings, recording 11 strikeouts. Caleb Hussey went 2 for 4 with a triple, Jadin Zoeller went 3 for 4 and Daniel Hussey had two hits and Napoleon Read had a double and three RBIs.

Berlin-New Lebanon earned a 4-0 non-league win over Doane Stewart, as Hunter Hughes tossed a complete game, two-hit shutout, with 13 strikeouts. Jake Bosso hit a three-run home run in the win.

Albany Academy scored a pair of late runs to pick up a 6-3 win over Guilderland. Ben Dalto went 2 for 4 at the plate and pitched 2 2-3 innings of scoreless relief

CBA scored five runs in the third inning on its way to a 9-5 win over La Salle. Jackson Cox went 3 for 4 for the Brothers, as Theodore Gialanella was 2 for 3 with a double and five RBIs.

Scotia-Glenville rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh to claim a 12-10 win over Maple Hill. Tyler Gray had a go-ahead, two-run double to give the Tartans the lead, and Ryan Allen added on some insurance with a RBI double the next at-bat. Gray was 4 for 5 in the game with two doubles and three RBIs.

Queensbury topped Troy 9-6, as Luke Mootz hit a pair of doubles for the Spartans, and Alex Coombes, Frankie Ovitt and Jacob Wolf all tripled. Jacob Wole picked up his first varsity win on the mound, going four innings, allowing three hits and three earned runs.

Averill Park put up eight runs in the first inning, on its way to a 15-2 victory over Broadalbin-Perth. Ethan Nardacci was 3 for 3 with two doubles and three RBIs for Averill Park, while Anthony Decker was 2 for 4 with two RBIs. James Consula recorded 10 strikeouts over 5 1-3 innings for the Warriors. Colin Cotter and Maddox Nichani had two hits apiece for Broadalbin-Perth.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24

Niskayuna staved off Shenendehowa in a 1-0 Suburban Council win. Zach Mravlja drove in the only run of the game for Niskayuna in the top of the third inning, and Parker Aikens tossed six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and one walk. Michael Polsinelli came in to record the save. Brad Curtis pitched a complete game in the loss for the Plainsmen, allowing one unearned run on two hits and four walks.

Shaker defeated Bethlehem 3-0 behind a two-hit shutout from Hannah Hipwell, who walked two and struck out 10. Alexandra Odell added two doubles and an RBI for the Blue Bison.

Saratoga Springs topped Troy 7-2, as Camden Rhude and Pat McKinley each went 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Patrick Temple had a double and RBI, and Raul Rodriguez stole two bases. Patrick Messineo, Louis Betit and Johnathan Panarese combined to throw a three-hit shutout, with 12 strikeouts.

Brian Carrothers Jr. hit a home run and had two RBIs in an 8-6 win for CBA over Columbia. Theodore Gialanella and Jackson Cox each added two hits in the win.

Broadalbin-Perth picked up a 6-2 win in a Foothills Council matchup against Gloversville. Bradley Savoie hurled a complete seven innings for the Patriots, allowing six hits, two walks and one earned run, while recording eight strikeouts. Colin Cotter and Garrett Jackowski each went 2 for 3 with a double.

Schuylerville mounted a comeback to defeat Scotia-Glenville 6-4. Luke Sherman was 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs for the Black Horses. Brenden Steinberg worked six innings on the mound, racking up 11 strikeouts without allowing an earned run.

Middleburgh cruises past Norte Dame-Bishop Gibbons 10-0 in the Western Athletic Conference. Jaesen Hoop threw a complete game shutout with 10 strikeouts, allowing just two hits and one walk. He only gave up two hits and walked one. Ben Croote had three hits, including two doubles, and two RBIs. Hunter Nelson had a triple, single and RBI and Hoop hit a two-run single.

Canajoharie staved off a Galway comeback to preserve a 3-2 victory. Zachary Herget threw a complete game for the Cougars, recording seven strikeouts. Aiden Bowerman tallied three hits, two RBIs and one run scored. Galway’s Tyler Friedman tossed five innings and struck out seven in the loss, as he allowed just one run, and Carson Eagan went 1 for 3 with a double.

Schoharie defeated Mekeel Christian Academy 14-4, as Andrew Martin and Devon Schrader each went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI for the Storm.

Duanesburg defeated Berne-Knox-Westerlo 11-2, as the Eagles were led by Collin Luissier and Dan Menzies. Luissier went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Menzies had a double and RBI. Ayden Fall tacked on a double and three runs scored.

Albany Academy eased past Lansingburgh 19-0 in the Colonial Council. Manny Santos went 2 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs, and Nico DeSanto had a home run and four RBIs.

Taconic Hills defeated Rensselaer 10-0 in five innings in a mercy-rule Patroon Conference victory. Brandon Rossano struck out 10, while allowing just one hit, over four innings of work. Jacob Alvarez was 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs.

Maple Hills topped Greenville with an 18-9 win, as Gunnar Gibbons went 3 for 4 with three RBIs. Jacob Germaine and Michael Wildermuth also collected three hits in the game, and Benjamin Reickert had a pair of doubles.

TUESDAY, APRIL 23

Stillwater prevailed 9-8 over Hoosic Valley in nine innings in a Wasaren League contest on Tuesday. Carter Wichelns hit a go-ahead, two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning, which proved to be the difference in the game. Shea Brown went 3 for 5 for Stillwater with a double and two RBIs. Brown also recorded 10 strikeouts over 5 1-3 innings on the mound.

Mechanicville downed Waterford-Halfmoon 22-5. Will Coreno hit for the cycle in going 5 for 7 with one RBI to lead Mechanicville. Scotty Lynch was 2 for 4 with three RBIs. Jack Brue was 3 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs.

Greenwich topped Tamarac 13-6, as Ryan Ingber collected four hits, with a double and RBI for the Witches. Owen Brockway and Hunter Logan each had two hits and two RBIs., while Colby McCauliffe had a double and three RBIs. Calvin Curtis struck out 14 over 6 2-3 innings on the mound for Greenwich. Owen Blakesley had a double, two singles and a RBI for Tamarac, while Troy Karz also collected three hits.

Saratoga Catholic used an 11-run fifth inning to cruise past Hoosick Falls 24-1. Ronan Rowe had four hits, including a home run and four RBIs for the Saints. Pierce Byrne also hit a home run and had three RBIs.

Johnstown worked its way past Gloversville 6-1, as Carter Cheney racked up 10 strikeouts over six innings for the Sir Bills. He allowed three hits, one run and two walks.

Maple Hill defeated Catskill 14-10 in a Patroon Conference showdown. Aidan Loszynski, Gunnar Gibbons and Benjamin Reickert all hit home runs for Maple Hill, while Gibbons tallied four RBIs.

Ichabod Crane topped Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 5-4 on a walk-off in the bottom of the eighth inning. Kyle Bartlett scored the winning run on a Burnt Hills’ error, and Max Frering went 2-for-3 with a double.

Christian Brothers Academy scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, to complete a 14-10 comeback over Section 9’s Kingston. Matt Sgambati was 3 for 5 with a triple and three RBIs. Theodore Gialanella went 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs.

Averill Park and Schalmont tied 16-16 in a non-league game that included a never-ending fifth inning, in which Averill Park scored 10 runs, and Schalmont responded with 11 in the bottom half. Heading into the bottom of the seventh, the Sabres scored two runs to tie things up 16-16 before the game was called. Averill Park’s Timothy Thomas was 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.

MONDAY, APRIL 22

Shenendehowa walked off in the bottom of the eighth inning on Monday against Christian Brothers Academy in a Suburban Council matchup. James Redick tossed seven innings for Shenendehowa, allowing one earned run on four hits and no walks, with 13 strikeouts. Evan Kochanskyj brought the Plainsmen within one run in the bottom of the seventh on a sacrifice fly, and then Ian Oehlschlaeger tied things up with an RBI double. In the bottom of the eighth, Brad Curtis led off the inning with a dramatic walk-off home run.

Christian Mello tossed five shutout innings as Saratoga Springs defeated Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 10-0. Mello allowed five hits and three walks, while compiling eight strikeouts. Jack Rigabar had three hits, with a double and three RBIs for the Blue Streaks, while Michael Mack and Louis Betit each had a double and two RBIs.

Colonie picked up a 10-2 win over Averill Park, as Nate Figueroa went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Brendan Shea allowed one run on three hits over four innings on the mound.

Columbia earned a 15-7 win over Ballston Spa, with Andrew Gabriel going 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Ronan Kreshik had three hits and three RBIs, and Steven Heller had three hits with a double.

Mekeel Christian Academy topped Berne-Knox-Westerlo 11-1 in Western Athletic Conference action. Shane Nygaard threw a five-inning complete game for Mekeel Christian Academy, striking out four batters for the win. Daniel Hussey went 2 for 3 with an RBI and three stolen bases, while Adrien Roman had a triple and Napoloeon Read had a double and two RBIs.

Fonda-Fultonville defeated Middleburgh 23-3, as Keegan Croucher and Jacob Sheldon combined for a no-hitter. Croucher was also 3 for 4 with three RBIs, while Karsen Bulan, Jake Hernigle and Joey Susi all had two hits.

Hudson beat Greenville 3-2 in Patroon Conference action on a walk-off single by Gannon Logue in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring Ryan Conte. Eli Conte tied the game with a two-out, two-strike RBI single. Antonio Troy pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts, allowing just two runs and three walks.

Johnstown topped Gloversville 8-5 in the Foothills Council, as Antonio DeMarco had two singles for the Sir Bills, and Jakob Hanna and Logan Smith each had a single and two RBIs. Gloversville’s Connor Bentley had a single and two RBIs.

Schuylerville picked up a 12-5 win over Hudson Falls, as Jackson Dunbar was 3 for 3 with a double and RBI for the Black Horses. Griffin Brophy added two hits and an RBI. Hudson Falls’ Gotte Seymour had two hits.

Broadalbin-Perth mounted a comeback, scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, to secure a 7-6 walk-off win over Scotia-Glenville. After a pair of bases-loaded walks to get within one run, Mike Eglin hit a walk-off, two-run double to win the game for the Patriots.

Lansingburgh mounted an extra-inning comeback to defeat Tamarac 8-7 in the eighth inning of a non-league contest. After Lansingburgh tied the game in the bottom of the fifth, both teams scored a run in the seventh, to head to extras. Tamarac went ahead in the top of the eighth, but Lansingburgh scored two in the bottom half to get the win. Braeden Kepner had a game-tying RBI double, right before Dan Pondillo hit a walk-off RBI double for the Knights.

Taconic Hills’ Zach Rowe tossed a five-inning no hitter in a 16-0 mercy rule win over Webutuck. Rowe walked three batters and struck out 10 in his no-hit performance. At the plate, he was 2 for 5 with a double and RBI.

Cohoes defeated Amsterdam 12-7, as Nick Chicaway went 3 for 5 with a home run, double and two RBIs. Charlie Gendron also had three hits, including two doubles. Amsterdam’s Jude Flint was 2 for 3 with a home run and double.

Saratoga Catholic defeated Glens Falls 9-0, as Aidan Crowther tossed a complete game shutout for the Saints. Ryan Gillis has two hits, with a double and four RBIs, and Tyler Weygand had two hits and an RBI.

SUNDAY, APRIL 21

Kaden Van Kempen struck out 11, walked two and threw a complete-game three-hitter to lead Maple Hill to a 5-2 win over Cairo-Durham in a Patroon League game. Aidan Loszynski went 2 for 3 with a double, RBI and a run for Maple Hill. Kennedy Bleau doubled for Cairo-Durham.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20

Scotty Lynch had three hits and five RBIs, and John Fedorowicz was 4 for 4 with two RBIs as Mechanicville won a wild 17-16 non-league win over Mohonasen. Will Coreno had a home run among his three hits and had three RBIs. Cruz Goverski collected three hits, and Mark Pingelski had two hits.

Johnstown dropped a 5-4 non-league decision to Unatego. Antonio DeMarco had a hit, two walks and two runs scored for Johnstown.

Voorheesville scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to beat Maple Hill 8-5. Nicholas Romansky struck out 12, and also had a double, RBI and two runs for the Blackbirds. Chase Phillips singled and drove in three in the win. Ben Reickert drove in two to lead Maple Hill.

Caleb Hussey struck out 16 and pitched a one-hitter to lead Mekeel Christian Academy to a 14-0 Western Athletic Conference victory over Fort Plain. Adrien Roman went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs.

Saratoga Central Catholic edged Schuylerville 1-0 in the championship of the Phil Waring Memorial Tournament. MVP Pierce Byrne struck out 11, walked none and limited the Black Horses to two hits. Byrne also singled twice and drew a bases-loaded walk for the lone run.

In the first round, Saratoga Central Catholic beat Lake George 13-1. Carson Moser went 2 for 3 with a double, RBI and a run to lead the Saints. Ronan Rowe tripled, drove in one and scored twice. Nick Wageman went 2 for 3 with a double to lead Lake George.

Schuylerville beat Fonda-Fultonville 8-5. Trevor French went 3 for 3 with two doubles and an RBI. Luke Sherman went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Kyle Kearns homered for Fonda-Fultonville.

La Salle improved to 6-0 with an 8-1 win over Guilderland. J.J. Hunter hit a three-run home run for the Cadets, while Patrick McDonough had two doubles, three RBIs and two runs. Sean Roddy doubled to lead Guilderland.

FRIDAY, APRIL 19

Carter Wichelns homered, hit two doubles, drove in seven runs and scored four as part of Stillwater’s 25-9, five-inning Wasaren League win over Tamarac. Kaden Burdo went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs for Stillwater, Alex Mell went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, and Avery Murray went 2 for 3 with three RBIs.

Will Coreno went 4 for 4 and worked six innings to get the win as Mechanicville defeated Hoosick Falls 9-3. Scotty Lynch had a homer, single and four RBIs for Mechanicville, Mark Pingelski had two hits and two RBIs, and Jack Brue added two hits.

Pierce Byrne went 3 for 5 with a home run, double and three runs scored, and Brian Selig gave up one hit in a four-inning stint as Saratoga Catholic topped Hoosic Valley 16-2. Ronan Rowe had a double and four RBI’s for the 7-0 Saints, and Jason Pescetti had two singles and two RBIs.

Derrick Fuller hit a three-run triple and struck out 13 in 5 2-3 innings for Middleburgh in an 11-1 Western Athletic Conference win over Fort Plain. Connor Mattice had a two-run single and Hunter Nelson delivered three hits for the Knights, and Bradley Rumrill had two hits for the Hilltoppers.

Tanner Bernard belted a grand slam, Seth Kenyon had four RBIs and Colin Anderson and Andy Miller both contributed three RBIs for Galway in a 22-2 win over Mekeel Christian Academy. Napoleon Read paced the Lions with three hits and three RBIs, and Daniel Hussey had two hits and scored two runs.

Ryder Herchenroder came within one out of a complete game, and Ewan McComb had a double, two singles and two RBIs for Ichabod Crane in a 9-1 Colonial Council win over Lansingburgh. Herchenroder fanned eight in his 6-plus innings, and Chase Morrison had two hits and three runs scored.

Saratoga Springs beat Averill Park 4-3 in the Suburban Council as Michael Mack hit a two-run homer, Camden Rhude went 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Brady Mills had two hits. Mack worked five innings, gave up one unearned run and struck out 13.

Finn Harkin allowed one hit and one run over four innings to get the win, and Jack Fraser had two singles, two RBIs and two runs scored for Troy in a 7-2 win over Guilderland. Gabe Bentley had two hits for Troy, and Christian Walsh had a single and both RBIs for the Dutchmen.

Jude Flint hit a two-run home run to give Amsterdam a 2-1 Foothills Council win over Glens Falls. Pat Vidulich got the win for the Rams, giving up a run and four hits over 6 2-3 innings.

Freshman Davian Williams improved to 3-0 with a complete-game two-hitter, as Queensbury shut out South Glens Falls 2-0. Jacob Wolf had an RBI single, and Oliver Pratt had the other RBI. Ben Cohen pitched a one-hitter for the Bulldogs.

Brendan Brodzinski, Ben Reichert and Guillermo Feliz Nickerson each had a hit and an RBI, and three Maple Hill hurlers joined on a one-hitter in a 12-0 Patroon Conference win at Watervliet.

Brandon Rossano homered, singled, drove in two runs and gave up four hits over five innings in Taconic Hills’ 11-1 win over Catskill. Francis Conners-Schmid also homered for the Titans.

THURSDAY, APRIL 18

Averill Park defeated Cohoes 12-2 in a non-league matchup on Thursday. Declan Flanigan collected three hits and three RBIs for Averill Park, while Timothy Koval had a home run and two RBIs.

Cooper Skiff threw a complete-game two-hitter with seven strikeouts to lead Greenwich to a 12-0 win over Waterford-Halfmoon in Wasaren League action. Owen Brockway had two doubles, a single and four RBIs. Eli Strasswimmer added a double, single and three RBIs.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17

Marley Bramer’s RBI single kick-started a seven-run, sixth-inning outburst as Johnstown broke a 2-2 tie and beat Queensbury 9-2 for its third straight Foothills Council win. Antonio DeMarco went the distance for Johnstown and scattered six hits with seven strikeouts, while Jakob Hanna had two hits, and Travis Tallon and Taven Blowers both had two RBIs.

Caelan Porter went 3 for 3 with a double, RBI and a run to help Gloversville to a 5-1 defeat of Hudson Falls. Aiden Banks was 2 for 3. Darion Rodriguez struck out five in pitching a complete-game two-hitter.

Brad Curtis went 3 for 5 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored for Shenendehowa in a 13-1 Suburban Council win over Averill Park. Curtis also got the mound verdict with a three-hit, 10-strikeout performance, while Jason Clawson and Evan Kochanskyj both had two hits and an RBI.

Christian Walsh had a double, single and an RBI, and Guilderland pushed a run across in the ninth inning to beat CBA 5-4.

Albany used a five-run sixth to overhaul Troy 9-7, after falling behind 3-0 and 5-2 in the early innings.

Lukasz Smith struck out nine over five innings and allowed one run in Cohoes’ 6-3 Colonial Council win over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk. Jack McFerran went 2 for 4 to pace the Indians.

Brady Holzhauer gave up three hits and fanned 11 in a complete-game effort, and Chase Morrison and Ewan McComb both had two RBI for Ichabod Crane in an 8-0 win over Voorheesville. McComb doubled, scored a run and had one of the Riders’ six stolen bases.

Albany Academy’s Manny Santos went 3 for 4 with a home run, double, three runs scored, two stolen bases and three RBIs in a 14-4 win over Cobleskill-Richmondville. Willie Kimbler, Evan Derrick and Ben Dalto each had two hits and two RBIs for the Cadets.

Austin Teetsel and Logan Mulyca homered, and Schalmont scored in every inning but the first in a 13-3 win over Lansingburgh.

Galway scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat Duanesburg 9-5 in the Western Athletic Conference. Ayden Fall homered and singled for Duanesburg.

Keegan Croucher and Landon Hamlen both had a double, single and two RBIs as part of Fonda-Fultonville’s 20-5 win over Holy Trinity. The Braves, who put up 11 runs in the fourth inning, improved to 4-0 in the WAC. D’Anthony DeLoreto had a hit and an RBI for Holy Trinity.

Middleburgh’s Derrick Fueller went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs in an 11-5 win over Mekeel Christian Academy. Daniel Hussey had two hits and an RBI for Mekeel.

Hunter Smith slugged a walk-off three-run home run in the seventh inning as Berne-Knox-Westerlo topped Mayfield 15-12. Mayfield held an 11-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth when BKW scored six runs, and the Bulldogs scored eight runs on five hits in the last of the seventh.

Ryan Ingber homered, singled and knocked in two runs to go with his two-hit, nine-strikeout pitching over five innings, and Keegan Clayton had three hits and two RBIs to lift Greenwich over Waterford-Halfmoon 5-2 in the Wasaren League. Jack Gilbert had a double, single and two RBIs for the Fordians.

Mechanicville edged Hoosick Falls 4-3, with AJ Messercola getting a hit and two RBIs and for the winners, and Chris Crouser striking out eight before Will Coreno picked up a one-out save.

Tamarac used a five-run third to turn back Stillwater 9-3. Shea Brown had two hits for Stillwater, and Ryan Brown and Alex Mell both had a hit and an RBI.

Saratoga Central Catholic shut out Hoosic Valley 13-0. Hunter Fales singled, tripled, drove in three and scored twice. Max Britten singled three times, drove in two and scored once for the Saints (5-0, 6-0).

TUESDAY, APRIL 16

Ballston Spa scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to edge Averill Park 4-3 in Suburban Council action. Nicolas Commisso singled and scored twice for the Scotties. Daniel Weed tripled and drove in a run. Aiden Borton went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Averill Park. Blake Kilgallon went 2 for 4 with a double, RBI and a run.

CBA downed Troy 22-6. James Dixon went 4 for 6 with two doubles, two RBIs and three runs for the Brothers. Christopher McLaughlin went 3 for 5 with an RBI and two runs. Jake Iacobaccio doubled twice and scored three runs. Finn Harkin led Troy by going 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

Also, Columbia beat Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 11-2.

Albany Academy doubled up Ichabod Crane 10-5 in the Colonial Council. Nico DeSanto doubled three times, had four RBIs and two runs to lead the Cadets. Manny Santos struck out seven in 3 2-3 innings, and Evan Derrick struck out four in 3 1-3 innings. Max Frering drove in two runs for Ichabod Crane.

Cohoes got two doubles from Nick Chicaway in its 12-2 win over Mohonasen. Nick Sparzo doubled and singled for Cohoes. Andrew Crux had a single for Mohonasen.

Cobleskill-Richmondville used a seven-run sixth inning to top Voorheesville 11-6. Elijah Barr fanned nine over six innings in the win. Nick Carrozzi went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs to power the offense, and Barr went 4 for 5 with two runs and an RBI. Eric Richardson doubled and drove in two for the Blackbirds. Trevor Prancl was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI and a run.

South Glens Falls edged Broadalbin-Perth 4-3 in the Foothills Council. Ethan Ford went 3 for 3 with a double and three runs to lead the Bulldogs. Xavier Velez doubled and drove in two. Colin Cotter doubled and had two RBIs for B-P, while Garrett Jackowski doubled, singled and scored once.

Schuylerville outslugged Amsterdam 16-12. The Black Horses hit four homers in the contest, with freshman Jackson Dunbar having two of them. He had four RBIs and three runs. Josh Merrill homered and drove in three. Jude Flint went 4 for 5 with three doubles, three RBIs and two runs to lead the Rams. Pat Vidulich went 3 for 4 with a double and three runs.

Luke Nichols struck out eight and also hit a two-run single to lead Hoosick Falls to a 5-2 victory over Greenwich in the Wasaren League. Connor MacNeil singled and scored for the Panthers (4-0 league, 4-1 overall). Keegan Clayton had two singles for Greenwich, while Hunter Logan had an RBI single.

Saratoga Catholic had a nine-run second inning as part of its 19-1 win over Stillwater. Hunter Fales doubled, tripled, drove in one and scored twice for the Saints (4-0, 5-0). Carson Moser had a single, double, three RBIs and three runs. Kihl Kelly also had a single, double and three RBIs with one run.

Hunter Smith struck out 15 in leading Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a 12-0 win over Fort Plain. Blake Shaver doubled and singled and scored. Justin Stevens singled and scored twice.

Berlin/New Lebanon got by Rensselaer 5-4 in non-league action. Tyler Shuhart struck out the side with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh to preserve the win. Jake Bosso went 2 for 3 with an RBI triple for the winners. Jayden Dennis struck out 12 for Rensselaer.

MONDAY, APRIL 15

Mechanicville rolled to a 29-3 Wasaren League win over Hoosic Valley, as Will Coreno went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and Scotty Lynch went 3-for-5 with five RBIs. Joe DeVito and Jack Brue each had a three-hit night, while Mark Pingelski, John Fedorowicz and Cruz Goverski all collected two hits.

Hoosick Falls defeated Greenwich 6-4, as Eli King tossed a complete game for the Panthers. He allowed four runs and seven hits over seven innings. Connor MacNeil had four singles and two RBIs in the win, while Luke Nicholas had three hits and an RBI.

Waterford-Halfmoon beat Tamarac 14-5 behind an 11-run third inning. Werkie Hayes struck out eight in the victory. Tristan Philo went 2 for 3 with an RBI and three runs for the Fordians, and Juleon Talavera drove in three runs. Owen Blakesley drove in two for Tamarac.

Guilderland topped Averill Park 4-0 in Suburban Council action behind a gem from Christian Walsh. He went 6 2/3 innings, allowing just one hit, while collecting seven strikeouts. Walsh also hit a two-run home run, and Evan Harbeck had a double and single. Averill Park’s James Consta struck out eight over five innings.

Shenendehowa’s James Redick tossed a gem in a 5-2 victory over Colonie. Redick threw a complete game, allowing just one hit and two unearned runs, accumulating 14 strikeouts with two walks. Brad Curtis had a double and three RBIs at the plate, while Peyton Marszalek had three hits and an RBI.

Saratoga Springs held off Columbia with a 7-5 victory. Pat McKinley collected three hits for the Blue Streaks, while Raul Rodriguez was 1-for-4 with three RBIs. Christian Mello went 3 2/3 innings in the start, allowing one earned run on eight hits.

Hudson defeated Rensselaer 13-1 in Patroon Conference action, as Antonio Troy tossed a two-hit complete game, allowing just one run, with seven strikeouts and seven walks. Eli Conte was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and four stolen bases.

Johnstown pitcher Carter Cheney fanned 14 in his complete-game effort, as Johnstown defeated Hudson Falls 8-1 in a Foothills Council matchup. The Sir Bills collected 10 hits from nine different players. Marcus Wilson and Travis Tallon each had two RBIs for Johnstown. The Tigers hit came from Gonzalez.

Broadalbin-Perth topped Schuylerville 3-0, as Garrett Jackowski went 2-for-4 with a double and Brad Savoie was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Duanesburg topped Mekeel Christian Academy 9-8 on a walk-off single by Logan Kapusta in the Western Athletic Conference. Duanesburg was led by Dan Menzies who homered and drove in two while striking out 12 batters in 5.1 innings Caleb Hussey went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI while striking out 11 in 4.2 innings of relief for Mekeel.

Galway defeated Fort Plain 13-9, as Carson Eagan tossed 1 1-3 innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win. Eagan also had an RBI, while Evan Schaperjahn had two hits and an RBI. Fort Plain’s Bradley Rumrill and Bryce Rumrill each had two hits and two RBIs.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo defeated Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons 4-1, as Blake Shaver racked up 11 strikeouts on the mound. The Bulldogs stole 10 bases as a team and turned two double plays, and Henry Ferguson collected two hits at the plate.

Fonda-Fultonville took down Schoharie 11-1 in five innings. Jake Hernigle has a double and two RBIs in the win, and Keegan Croucher racked up 11 strikeouts on the mound.

Middleburgh topped OESJ 15-4. 

Cohoes shut out Lansingburgh 10-0 in Colonial Council action, as Nick Chicaway hit a solo home run and Connor Trudeau had a home run and two doubles, with three RBIs.

Albany defeated Catskill 7-3 in a non-league contest, as Jackson Shahinfar tossed a complete game for the Falcons. He allowed three hits and three unearned runs, tallying seven strikeouts.

SATURDAY, APRIL 13

Paxton McBride’s two-run double with two outs in the top of the seventh inning lifted Guilderland to a 5-4 Suburban Council come-from-behind win over Shenendehowa. Shenendehowa had a 4-1 lead after three innings. Guilderland scored twice in the fifth to pull within one. Christian Walsh had a double and two singles for Guilderland. Evan Harbeck added two singles, and Kyler Ackert hit a double.

Trevor French tossed a no-hitter to lead Schuylerville to a 6-0 Foothills Council victory over Gloversville. French struck out 10. Luke Sherman had a double, single and an RBI for Schuylerville.

Cohoes got past Schalmont 9-7 in the Colonial Council. Nick Chicaway homered and drove in two runs for Cohoes, and Joe Trudeau added a double, single and two RBIs. Kyle Franke had a homer and two RBIs for Schalmont.

Landon Hamlen had a double, single and three RBIs in Fonda-Fultonville’s 19-0 Western Athletic Conference victory over Galway. Zeb Whitcavitch had a double and three RBIs, Jacob Sheldon added a triple and two RBIs and Jake Hernigle had a double and RBI.

John Shaw struck out 10 over four innings and had two hits and two RBIs to lead Middleburgh to a 12-2 win over Schoharie. Ben Croote, Jameson Hoop and Hunter Nelson also drove in two apiece for the Knights. Lawrence Zeufler had a hit for Schoharie.

Taconic Hills beat Red Hook 11-7 in a non-league game. Zach Rowe had a triple, two singles and three RBIs to lead Taconic Hills.

THURSDAY, APRIL 11

Sophomore pitcher Danny Brown struck out six and held Glens Falls to one earned run as Johnstown won 9-3 in a Foothills Council game that was tied 3-3 heading into the top of the fifth inning, when Johnston scored two runs. Tavien Blowers hit a two-run single for the Sir Bills.

In the Wasaren League, Mechanicville defeated Hoosic Valley 12-4, as Scotty Lynch went 22-for-4 with three RBIs and recorded his 100th career hit for Mechanicville.

Mark Pingelski drove in two runs for Mechanicville, Chris Couser went 3-for-4 with one RBI, John Fedorowicz went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and Joe DeVito went 3-for-5 with three RBIs.

Schoharie topped Berne-Knox-Westerlo 8-3 in the Western Athletic Conference. Hunter Smith led B-K-W with two RBIs.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10

Raul Rodriguez had a home run, a single and two RBIs as Saratoga Springs defeated Colonie 5-2 in the Suburban Council. The Blue Streaks broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Duanesburg defeated Middleburgh 13-3 in the Western Athletic Conference, as Dalton Porter pitched 5 2/3 innings and gave up just two hits while striking out seven. Ben Croote hit a home run for the Eagles, and Jerson Hoop and John Shaw each hit a double.

Galway’s Tyler Friedman struck out 10 in seven innings as the Eagles blanked OESJ 2-0. Seth Kenyon had an RBI and scored a run for Galway.

Queensbury scored six runs in the top of the first inning and went on to defeat Amsterdam 12-2 in the Foothills Council. Pat Vidulich had a double and a single for the Rams.

Chatham scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to send the game into extra innings, and scored in the bottom of the eighth to pull out a 5-4 win over Taconic Hills in the Patroon Conference.

Tate VanAlstyne had two singles for Chatham, and Gavin Hartka had a double and a single for Taconic Hills.

In Wasaren League action, host Saratoga Central Catholic (3-0 league, 4-0 overall) scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and had it hold up in a 2-0 win over Stillwater. Sophomore Pierce Byrne improved to 2-0 with a complete-game, 15-strikeout performance. He walked four and allowed just one hit. Carson Moser doubled and drove in a run, while Ronan Rowe had the Saints' other RBI.

TUESDAY, APRIL 9

Rhys Urbanczyk hit a three-run double in the top of the fifth inning to lift Amsterdam past Hudson Falls 4-1 in the Foothills Council. The Rams won despite managing just two hits.

Broadalbin-Perth scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to break open a close game on the way to an 8-1 victory over Queensbury in the Foothills Council. Garrett Jackowski pitched a three-hitter for the Patriots, and Colin Cotter had two doubles and two RBIs.

Schuylerville topped Johnstown 10-2, as Trevor French had a double and a single and Josh Merrill had a double and three RBIs for the Black Horses. Antonio DeMarco had a double and a single, and drove in both runs for the Sir Bills. 

Nate Figueroa went 5-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, three RBIs and four runs scored to power Colonie past Columbia 12-4 in the Suburban Council.

Albany scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull out a 5-4 victory over Bethlehem.

Shaker scored four runs in the top of the first inning and held on for a 4-0 win over Guilderland, as Tommy Case struck out nine and gave up two hits in five innings for the Blue Bison, and also hit two doubles.

Three pitchers combined on a two-hitter as Averill Park blanked Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 12-0 in the Suburban Council. 

Schalmont scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to edge Cobleskill-Richmondville 6-5 in the Colonial Council.

Andrew Schraa had a double and a single for the Sabres, and Logan Mulyca had a double and two RBIs.

CJ Palluti struck out nine batters and ave up just two hits as Duanesburg beat Mayfield 5-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. Palluti also had two singles for the Eagles, and Ayden Fall, Evan Williams and Dan Menzies each drove in a run.

GG Lefkadits and Blake Shaver each went 3-for-4 to help Berne-Knox-Westerlo defeat OESJ 7-1. Bulldogs pitcher Hunter Smith gave up no hits through six innings and finished with 14 strikeouts.

Caleb and Daniel Hussey combined to go 5-for-9 with two doubles, two triples and six RBIs to lead Mekeel Christian Academy to a 15-4 victory over Holy Trinity. Adrien Roman had a triple, single and two RBIs for the Lions.

D'Anthony DeLoreto went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Pride.

In the Colonial Council, Albany Academy scored 19 runs in the first inning and rolled to a 21-3 victory over Mohonasen. Willie Kimbler and Evan Derrick each had three hits for the Cadets.

In the Wasaren League, Saratoga Catholic scored eight runs in the top of the third inning and finished with 14 hits in a 13-1 victory over Tamarac.

Ronan Rowe and Tyler Weygand each hit two doubles for the Saints, and Hunter Fales and Ryan Gillis each had a double and a single and Carson Moser and Pierce Byrne each hit two singles.

Joe DeVito and Chris Couser each went 4-for-4 as Mechanicville rolled past Stillwater 27-8 in the Wasaren League.

Greenwich scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull away from Hoosic Valley 9-4 in the Wasaren League. Michael Cronin had two singles and two RBIs for the Witches, Colby McCauliffe had a double and two RBIs, Owen Brockway hit a double and Ryan Ingber had two singles and two RBIs.

Carson Glover hit a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Hoosick Falls past Waterford-Halfmoon 3-2 in the Wasaren League. Hoosick Falls tied it at 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI double by Ryan Sparks.

In the Patroon Conference, Hudson scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 5-0 lead over Maple Hill and went on to win 5-1. Antonio Troy had a double, single and three RBIs for Hudson, Ashton Hotaling hit a double and Gannon Logue hit a triple.

Three pitchers combined on a three-hitter as Taconic Hills got past Coxsackie-Athens 4-2. Jacob Alvarez scored two runs for Taconic Hills.

MONDAY, APRIL 8

Ichabod Crane mercy-ruled Mohonasen 10-0 on Monday in Colonial Council action, as Brady Holzhauer tossed a six-inning, one-hit shutout. He walked two and struck out eight. Max Ferering went 3-for-4 with a double, home run, two RBIs and four runs scored.

Shaker topped Columbia 7-1 in the Suburban Council, with Ethan McGarry allowing just one run over six innings of work. He allowed for hits and two walks, with three strikeouts for the Blue Bison, while Brendan McLoughlin hit two home runs and had four RBIs.

In Wasaren League action, Hoosick Falls defeated Waterford-Halfmoon 15-3. Andrew Sparks had a single, double RBI and four runs scored for Hoosick Falls, while Luke Nicholas had two singles, a triple and three RBIs. Cole Ziehm added three singles and two RBIs. For Waterford-Halfmoon, Werkie Hayes had two hits.

Saratoga Central Catholic used a five-run fourth inning to top Tamarac 7-1. Hunter Fales went 2 for 4 with a triple and a run for the Saints. Kihl Kelly had a triple and two runs, while Ryan Gillis doubled and had two RBIs. Tamarac got a double from Tam Dylangerik.

Averill Park cruised to a 12-2 non-league win over Amsterdam, with Ethan Nardacci and Blake Kilgallon each collecting two hits. Jack Charron was 1-for-4 with three RBIs.

SUNDAY, APRIL 7

Niskayuna topped Shaker 5-3 in a non-league matchup. Martin Ryan led Niskayuna with four hits and two RBIs. Cam Grasso and Matthew Hand each had two hits. David Sardella and Beckett Haughney each had an RBI, while Alex Kerr picked up the win in relief.

Saratoga Central Catholic defeated Broadalbin-Perth 5-1. Ryan Gillis doubled and drove in three to lead the Saints. Hunter Fales had two singles and a run. Kihl Kelly tripled and scored a run, while winning pitcher Pierce Byrne struck out eight.

SATURDAY, APRIL 6

Chris Couser pitched a complete-game three hitter with six strikeouts to lead Mechanicville to a 7-3 Wasaren League win over Stillwater.

Will Coreno went 3 for 5 for Mechanicville, with a double and two RBIs. Couser tacked on a two-run single.

Greenwich tacked on eight runs in the top of the seventh inning in its 14-1 victory over Hoosic Valley. Ryan Ingber had a double, single and three RBIs, while Owen Brockway also doubled and drove in two. Max Anatriello supplied a double, two single and three RBIs.

Connor King led Hoosic Valley with a single, double and RBI.

In five innings, Galway shut out Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons 16-0 in a Western Athletic Conference matchup. Tanner Bernard and Carson Eagan combined for the pitching shutout. Bernard also tripled and had three RBIs. Thomas LaMoy doubled and had three RBIs. Seth Kenyon also had three RBIs. D'Anthony DeLoreto singled and walked to lead the Golden Knights.

Colonie edged Kingston 3-2 in a non-league battle. Brendan Shea went 2 for 3 with two runs, while Carter Hufland was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Nate Figueroa tripled and had an RBI.

FRIDAY, APRIL 5

Schoharie picked up a 9-1 Western Athletic Conference victory over OESJ. The Storm was led by three hits from Eddison Wayman-Bender, including a double. Emmett Gagnon had a triple for Schoharie, and Isaac Gagnon had two singles. Emmett Gagnon tossed 5 1-3 innings, allowing just two hits, while collecting eight strikeouts.

TUESDAY, APRIL 2

Guilderland used a big fifth inning to get past Albany, earning a 6-4 Suburban Council victory. Kyler Ackert had two singles and a RBI for Guilderland, and Christian Walsh had a RBI double. Brandon Degener picked up his first varsity win, after allowing one run over three innings, while recording four strikeouts. Albany’s Tommy Bishop went 3-for-3 with two home runs and four RBIs.

Averill Park defeated Scotia-Glenville 5-2 in non-league action on Tuesday. Jeg Sansone started for Averill Park and went 6 2-3 innings before allowing a hit. Overall, he allowed one hit, two runs, one earned, with five walks and nine strikeouts. Jack Behan came on for the last out to get the save. Blake Kilgallon went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI for the Warriors. Hayden Sladowski had the lone hit, and an RBI, for Scotia-Glenville.

Columbia earned a 6-1 victory over Queensbury, after putting up four runs in the top of the third. Sean Boniface had two doubles for the Blue Devils, while Steven Heller, Ronan Kreshik, Ascher Meilon and Cole Mellen all had triples. Nolan Romanowski allowed one run and four hits over four innings. He struck out 10, picking up the win. For Queensbury, Josh Roberts was 1-for-2 with a walk, and Luke Mootz RBI sacrifice fly.

In the Western Athletic Conference, Schoharie defeated Galway 6-1, as Edison Waymen and Isaac Gagnon combined to no-hit Galway. Waymen struck out 10 over five innings, while Gagnon recorded three strikeouts in two innings for Schoharie. Lawrence Zuefle had two hits and two RBIs at the plate. Galway’s Tyler Friedman struck out seven over four innings of work, while Tanner Bernard recorded eight strikeouts in three innings.

Chatham picked up a 13-0 non-league mercy rule win over Duanesburg. Logan Smalley tossed four no-hit innings, with eight strikeouts, and Tate Van Alstyne was 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs.

Hoosic Valley used an 11-run sixth inning to mount a miraculous comeback, going on to defeat Voorheesville 16-15 on a walk-off single by Dem Neary in the bottom of the seventh.Austin Brown, Craig D’Avella and Jimmy Johnson all had two hits for the Hoosic Valley.

MONDAY, APRIL 1

Mechanicville brought home a 3-2 victory in extra innings in a non-league battle against Saratoga Springs on Monday. In the top of the eighth, Scotty Lynch drove home the go-ahead run to take a 3-2 lead.

Chris Croucher started for Mechanicville and went six innings. He allowed one run on four hits, with five strikeouts. Will Coreno picked up the win in two innings of relief, allowing one run on two hits, with a pair of strikeouts.

At the plate, Cruz Goverski had a double and two RBIs for Mechanicville, while Brady Mills and Pat McKinley each had two hits for the Blue Streaks.

Schuylerville topped Averill Park 7-2, as Brenden Steinberg threw five innings and allowed just one hit and an unearned run, with three strikeouts. Alex Renner and Trevor French each went 2-f0r-3 with RBIs for Schuylerville. Tim Thomas was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Averill Park.

Coxsackie-Athlens battled to a 3-2 walk-off victory over Stillwater. After Adam Slater hit a solo home run in the sixth inning, in the bottom of the seventh he drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game 2-2. Christian Tedford then ended it for Coxsackie-Athens, driving in the game-winning run.

Andrew Prim had three hits and three RBIs for Albany in a 13-0 victory over Hoosic Valley. Nyzir Bickley collected two hits and three RBIs, while Gavin Cramer had two hits and two RBIs. Ben Viggiani had two hits and scored four runs.

Maple Hill defeated Rensselaer 14-2, as Aidan Loszynski went 3-for-3 with two home runs and four RBIs. He also allowed two hits and one run, over three innings on the mound, with eight strikeouts.

In the Wasaren League, Waterford-Halfmoon picked up a 17-0 win over Berlin-New Lebanon. In the mercy-rule shortened game, Jack Gilbert tossed a five-inning no-hitter, with 11 strikeouts. Connor Kennedy was 2-for-3 with five RBIs and Derrick Pontore was 2-for-2 with 3 RBIs.

SATURDAY, MARCH 30

Brody Burdo went 5 for 5 with a double and four singles and drove in three runs to power Stillwater to a 15-1 non-league victory over Watervliet. Jaxon Mueller and Carter Wichelns each homered. Wichelns was 4 for 5 with two RBIs, while Mueller had three RBIs. Avery Murray doubled, singled and had two RBIs, and Shea Brown had a double and three RBIs.

FRIDAY, MARCH 29

Logan Kelly walked with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday to help Waterford-Halfmoon beat Rensselaer 3-2 in a non-league game. Izaigh Johnson and Ronald LaCoy each had a double for Rensselaer.
