Amsterdam/B-P players named all-stars

Several Amsterdam/Broadalbin-Perth players were among those named to the Foothills Council boys lacrosse all-star team.

Junior Alex DiCaterino was named to the second team as a short-stick defensive midfielder, while senior defenders James Shatas and Carter Bogdan were named honorable mention.

Junior Andy Welch (attack), senior Ryan Welch (face-off specialist) and junior Nathan Bohm (midfield) also were named honorable mention.

South Glens Falls, which won the league title, had Logan Carruthers (attack), Trey Marcil (midfield), Phil Viger (midfield), Joe Johnson (defense), Alex Germain (goalie) and Jayden DeRush (long-stick midfield) named to the first team.

Queensbury’s Connor White (attack), Alex Cooper (defense), Zach Cunningham (defense) and Gabe Jacobs (short-stick defensive midfield) also earned first-team honors.

Rounding out the first-team selections were Schuylerville’s Carson Griffin (attack), Scotia-Glenville’s Alex Bzdell (face-off specialist) and Schuylerville’s Reid Rockhill (midfield),

In addition to its first-team honorees, South Glens Falls also had Orion DeLisle (midfield) and Willis Bickford (defense) named to the second team.

Queensbury placed Stephen Deutsch (attack), Dylan Butler (midfield) and Jack Conway (face-off specialist) on the second team, while Glens Falls’ Brian Donlon (attack), Conor Northrop (defense), Will Center (goalie) and Cyrus Guillet (long-stick midfield) also earned second-team status.

Rounding out the second-team selections were Schuylerville’s Zach Bowen (attack) and Colin Garry (goalie), and Scotia-Glenville’s Cameron Lemp (midfield) and Lucas Burridge (defense).

South Glens Falls’ Nate Scarincio (attack), Will Cormie (midfield) and Jake Ring (attack) were named honorable mention.

Rounding out the honorable-mention selections were Queensbury’s Tyler Duell (midfield), Scott Miller (defense) and Dan Conway (long-stick midfield), and Glens Falls’ Dylan Anselment (defense).
