Gloversville volleyball finishes with perfect 15-0 record

AMSTERDAM — The Gloversville Huskies closed out their season with a perfect 15-0 record Friday dominating Amsterdam 3-0 on games scores of 25-3, 25-5 and 25-9.

Aireana Muhlberger had nine assists, 10 aces and seven digs, while Macey Salvione had four kills, five digs and seven aces and Maddy Avery had six assists, three kills, eight digs and four aces. Hailee Thompson finished with five kills and three aces, while Alana Biasini had five aces and Emily Bradt had a kill and four service points to go with three kills from Zoie Tesi.

It was the final match in the maroon and white for seniors Muhlberger, Salvione, Avery, Thompson, Biasini and Bradt.

Gloversville finished with a 12-0 record against Foothills Council competition.

Johnstown 3, Scotia-Glenville 0

SCOTIA — Sadie Blowers had a big game for the Lady Bills to lead them past Scotia-Glenville on game scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-23.

Blowers finished with nine kills, 10 digs, 19 services points, six aces and a block. Anika Byrnes added eight service points, four kills, six digs and three blocks, while Bri Lawton had 14 service points, four aces, seven digs, three kills and three assists to go with five service points, seven digs, seven kills, two blocks and an ace from Gabby Elwood.

Mia Wood led Scotia-Glenville with three kills, three assists, four aces, three digs and a block, while Shanna Ludcvici had five assists, four digs and an ace and Adrianna Murray finished with two blocks to go with four kills and an ace from Bella Harrigan.

Johnstown finishes the season 5-6 in the Foothills Council and 5-8 overall.

Western Athletic Conference

Galway 3, Schoharie 0

SCHOHARIE — Galway recorded its 43rd straight league victory, defeating Schoharie on game scores of 25-10, 25-14 and 25-15.

Julia Reedy led the Golden Eagles with 14 kills and senior Katy Kurtzner finished with 18 digs, four aces and four kills and senior diana Colangelo added three aces and five kills.

Schoharie was led by Racquel Gerstenberger with eight kills, seven service points and an ace, while Trinity Jankowski added seven service points, six assists and three aces.
