Van Olst nets 24 in Dolgeville loss

DOLGEVILLE — Kerisa Van Olst connected for 24 points for the Dolgeville Lady Blue Devils but it was not enough as Poland built on a 44-8 halftime lead to take home a 67-40 Center State Conference victory Friday night at Dolgeville High School.

Van Olst added six rebounds, two assists and a steal to her 24-point performance, while Alyson Congdon had seven points and three rebounds and Audrey William added six points, four rebounds and two steals.

Logan Cookingham led the Tornadoes with 21 points, while Isabella Mowers finished with 14 and Erin Powers added 10 points.

The teams will square off again tonight at Poland High School.

The Poland and Dolgeville boys will also scheduled to play tonight at Dolgeville High School.
