H.S. Volleyball Roundup: Gloversville sweeps past Mayfield
MAYFIELD — Aireana Muhlberger posted 30 assists and three blocks to lead Gloversville to a 3-0 victory over Mayfield in a non-league volleyball match Wednesday at Rovito Gymnasium.
The Huskies won by scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-14.
Maddy Avery finished with 15 digs and 10 kills for Gloversville (11-0 overall), while Macey Salvione recorded 10 kills, 10 digs and eight aces. Hailee Thompson had 10 kills for the Huskies and Zoie Tesi added three aces.
Lila King had 10 assists, eight digs and two service points for Mayfield, while Deandra Myers posted nine digs, five kills, four service points and two aces. Julia Fitzgerald recorded nine digs, three assists, two kills and two service points for the Lady Panthers, Tori Ruliffson had four service points and three kills and Alissa Wilbur posted eight digs and three service points. Camie Hart notched nine digs for Mayfield, Lissi Weichel had three kills, Brooke Long posted two kills and Maddy King added two service points.
Mayfield (2-7 overall) is scheduled to travel to Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville today for a 6:30 p.m. match.
Gloversville is slated to host Amsterdam on Friday at 6 p.m.
Canajoharie-Fort Plain 3, OESJ 0
ST. JOHNSVILLE — Sarah Paradiso posted 10 service points, five aces, three kills and two blocks to help Canajoharie-Fort Plain sweep Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville in a Western Athletic Conference match.
C-FP won by scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-22.
Kaylee Sanders finished with seven service points and four aces for Canajoharie-Fort Plain (2-4 overall), while Samara Mattice had eight service points, three aces and one kill.
Abby Blakeslee recorded 12 assists, 10 digs and three aces for OESJ, while Kaydence Souza had 18 digs, 13 assists and two kills. Jade Dygert added seven digs, five assists and an ace.
Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (0-6 overall, 0-6 WAC) is scheduled to host Mayfield today at 6:30 p.m.
C-FP is slated to host Galway today at 6:30 p.m.
Center State Conference
Dolgeville 3, Central Valley 1
DOLGEVILLE — Rylee Lamphere posted 14 kills, nine digs and four aces to power Dolgeville to a Center State Conference victory over Central Valley Academy.
The Blue Devils won by scores of 25-18, 25-13, 21-25 and 25-5.
Mackenzie Farquhar had nine kills and two aces for Dolgeville, Brianna Bruce posted nine kills and two blocks, and Ashlynne Seeley recorded eight aces, seven digs and three kills. Madisen Gorinshek finished with three aces and three digs for the Blue Devils, Maighen Ehrle had four digs and three aces, Annaliese Davies had five digs and Laikyn Cramer-Snowman notched three digs and two kills. Charlie Benoit added four digs and three kills for Dolgeville.
Angelina Roberts had 20 assists for Central Valley, while Sophie Hyde posted 13 kills. Madisen Bastien finished with six digs for the Thunder and Madeline Feldman added six assists.
Dolgeville (4-0 overall) is slated to travel to Ilion on Friday to face Central Valley at 6:30 p.m.
