Gloversville sweeps Broadalbin-Perth, 3-0
BROADALBIN — Aireana Muhlberger finished with 31 assists and 13 digs to help Gloversville post a 3-0 victory over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council volleyball match Monday.
The Huskies won by scores of 25-20, 27-25 and 25-22.
Maddy Avery recorded 14 digs and 10 kills for Gloversville (10-0 overall, 8-0 Foothills), while Macey Salvione notched 16 kills and eight digs. Salvione also surpassed the 1,000-dig mark for her career. Alana Biasini notched six kills for the Huskies, Hailee Thompson posted five digs and four assists, and Zoie Tesi added two blocks.
Lily Mitchell posted 21 assists and nine digs for B-P, while Sami Westfall finished with seven kills and five blocks. Sophia Rogers recorded 12 digs, four kills, four aces and three blocks for the Patriots, Olivia Fraser had seven digs, four kills and a block, and Shelby Fenton and Kiaira Tomlinson each had six kills.
Gloversville is slated to travel to Mayfield for a non-league match on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Broadalbin-Perth is scheduled to travel to Scotia-Glenville on Thursday for a 6 p.m. Foothills Council contest.
Scotia-Glenville 3, Amsterdam 0
SCOTIA — Danai Cirigliano posted nine service points, four aces and two digs to lead Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council victory over Amsterdam.
The Tartans won by scores of 25-12, 25-20 and 25-22.
Shanna Ludovici recorded 10 service points, six assists, three digs, two kills, one block and one ace for Scotia-Glenville, while Jojo Mustico posted six digs and two aces. Mia Wood had four assists, three kills and an ace for the Tartans and Keeley Kristel added four aces, three kills and a block.
Brianna Francisco posted 10 service points and two aces for Amsterdam, while Annie Fedullo and Kiara Reid each had two kills.
Amsterdam is slated to travel to Johnstown today for a 6 p.m. match.
Fonda-Fultonville 3, OESJ 0
FONDA — Madisyn Dineen posted nine aces and six kills to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a 3-0 victory over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville in a Western Athletic Conference match.
The Lady Braves won by scores of 25-5, 25-9 and 25-9.
Marilyn Whitcavitch finished with six kills, three aces and a block for FFCS, while Amber Cole had 17 assists.
The Lady Braves are scheduled to host Canajoharie-Fort Plain today at 6:30 p.m.
