Fonda-Fultonville football wins finale
RICHMONDVILLE — Giovanni DeCaprio rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries to power Fonda-Fultonville to a 34-0 victory over Cobleskill-Richmondville in a Fall II season crossover game Wednesday.
DiCaprio scored on runs of 16, 14 and 8 yards for the Braves, who led 21-0 at halftime.
Connor Weaver had a 1-yard touchdown run for FFCS, while D.J. Greco added a 5-yard touchdown run.
Weaver completed 6-of-12 passes for 71 yards. He also threw an interception.
Jackson Cusack had five catches for 57 yards. Cusack also had three punt returns for 30 yards and one kickoff return for 23 yards to finish with 110 all-purpose yards.
The Braves’ defense held the Bulldogs to 24 yards rushing on 23 carries and 79 total yards. Owen Hicks, DiCaprio, and Jonathan Cranker all had six tackles. DiCaprio recorded a sack and three tackles-for-loss. Eric Hesch had four tackles, a fumble recovery and a tackle-for-loss.
Sal Liardo completed 11-of-22 passes for 55 yards for Cobleskill-Richmondville.
Fonda-Fultonville finished the Fall II season with a 3-3 overall record.
