Caroga Lake’s Bob Sullivan recently was honored with a national appointment to the National Ski Patrol. The appointment was presented by the Eastern Regional Ski Patrol Director Grant Fullman and Royal Mountain Ski Patrol Diector Glenn Newkirk. Qualifications to be nominated are numerous and include being an instructor for training of ski patrol candidates, serving as an officer at the section level where Sullivan had served as section chief, earning the rank of Senior National Ski Patroller. He also had served at least eight years as National Ski Patroller. In addition to being a Royal Mountain Ski Patroller for more than 25 years, Sullivan is very active in the town of Caroga. He is an EMT and has served as the President of the Caroga Lake Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years. Sullivan has served on the town of Caroga Assessment Review Board, the Zoning Board of Appeals, town council member and town supervisor. He also has served on the school board of Wheelerville School for 10 years.
