Sir Bills fall to South High in season opener
JOHNSTOWN — South Glens Falls’ Willis Bickford rolled a 793 triple at Kingpin’s Alley to lead the Bulldogs to a 4-0 victory over Johnstown in virtual Foothills Council bowling action Thursday.
South High (7-1) took total with games of 1,225, 1,140 and 1,276 for 3,641 total pins, while the Sir Bills (0-4) rolled games of 819, 981 and 956 to 2,756 pins.
Bickford put together games of 257, 279 and 257 for the high triple, while Jacob Hall rolled a 234-642 and Dalton Jones added a 213-629 performance.
Parker Baker contributed a 216-541 effort for the Bulldogs, while Cass Ogburn rolled 202-519 and Chris Sharpe finished with a 183-517.
Mick Winton paced Johnstown with a 232-548 performance at Perry Lanes. Steven Hulbert added a 189-511 effort while Brianna Subik finished with a 170-444 and Camron Sweet added a 159-438. Damien Roth rolled 158-424 and Patrick Clemence had a 150-391 to round out the Sir Bills scores.
Amsterdam 4, Schuylerville 0
AMSTERDAM — Jon Wolff finished with a high game 280 and a 683 series to lead Amsterdam to a 4-0 victory over Schuylerville on Wednesday.
Kai Brennan rolled a 223-605 for the Rams, Donavan Lazier had a 203-582 and Patrick Hyam notched a 202-573. Matt Sawitzki added a 221-571 for Amsterdam, which finished with a 3,483-2,861 advantage in total pins.
Ryan Rubertello posted a 215-533 to lead Schuylerville, while Micah Grant had a 211-513. Carson Griffin added a 193-510 for the Black Horses.
Fort Plain 0
CANAJOHARIE — Jaidyn Rose rolled a 238-608 to lead Middleburgh to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fort Plain on Wednesday.
Julia Bingham had a 216-598 for the Knights, Cameryn Shultes posted a 189-497 and Delilah shelties added a 152-420.
Emma Oldick rolled a 212-559 to lead Fort Plain, while Rachel Zuppardi posted a 148-425. Sarah Paradiso finished with a 145-407 for the Lady Hilltoppers and Kaylee Sanders added a 134-391.
Middleburgh finished with a 2,571-2,210 advantage in total pins.
