Poland gets past Dolgeville, 3-1

POLAND — Maddison Haver and Logan Cookinham scored second-half goals to lift Poland to a 3-1 victory over Dolgeville in a Center State Conference girls soccer contest Tuesday.

The teams were tied at 1-1 at the half.

Cookinham finished with a goal and two assists for the Tornadoes, while Erin Powers added a first-half goal. Ava Malin had an assist for Poland, which outshot Dolgeville by a 24-7 margin.

Annaliese Davies scored the lone goal for Dolgeville in the first half on an assist from Madisen Gorinshek.

Jessica Batson and Chloe Roark each had two saves for Poland (4-0 overall), while Maighen Ehrle made eight saves for Dolgeville (2-2 overall).

The Blue Devils are scheduled to travel to Herkimer on Friday for a 6 p.m. contest.
