Miller records hole-in-one in Patriots’ win

JOHNSTOWN — Broadalbin-Perth’s Brandon Miller recorded a hole-in-one to lead the Patriots to a 179-194 victory over Johnstown in Foothills Council golf action Thursday at Fox Run Golf Club.

Miller aced the 160-yard Par 3 third hole en route to his match winning 41. Ryan Hertik added a 45 for the Patriots, while Colin Carter shot 46, to go with 47s from Connor Canale and Nate Phillips.

Aiden Greene paced Johnstown with his round of 44, while William Gerlach shot 45, Carter Cheney carded a 52 and Cam Arminio finished with a 53.

The Broadalbin-Perth girls slipped past Johnstown 104-107.

The Lady Bills’ Mollie Kortz turned in a round of 50 and Claire Anderson carded a 57.

Mairead Marsden and Haley Tomlinson both turned in rounds of 52 for the Lady Patriots.
