Maples leads Mayfield/Northville to WAC win

JOHNSTOWN — Tyler Maples carded a six-hole total of 27 to lead Northville/Mayfield to a 12-3 victory over Canajoharie in a Western Athletic Conference golf match Friday at Hales Mills Country Club.

George Abdella, Aiden Martuscello and Andrew Cordone all finished with rounds of 33 for Northville/Mayfield. Jordan Miller posted a 34 for Northville/Mayfield, while Trevor Ruberti added a 43.

Jack Krug and Kyle Oertel each had rounds of 33 to lead Canajoharie, while Riley Montanye and Tyler Montanye each had rounds of 34. Jaxson O’Neil carded a 44 for the Cougars, while Braden Greenslete added a 45.

Northville/Mayfield is scheduled to host Fort Plain on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Canajoharie is off until Thursday when it will compete in the Western Athletic Conference Championship at Hopson Hills Golf Course in Dolgeville.

Fonda-Fultonville 15, Duanesburg 0

FORT JOHNSON — Colin Kowalski carded a six-hole total of 25 to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a WAC victory over Duanesburg at Rolling Hills Country Club on Friday.

Noah Moran posted a 26 for the Braves, Alex Saltsman had a 32 and Cayden Egleston carded a 34. Colby Monty posted a 36 for FFCS and Nick Hasting added a 37.

Matt Coons led Duanesburg with a 31, while John Grant, Cormac Marz and Tyler Drexel all finished with rounds of 35.

Shane Wetherington posted a 38 for the Eagles, while Nick Perillo added a 45.

Fonda-Fultonville is off until Thursday when it will compete in the Western Athletic Conference Championship at Hopson Hills Golf Course in Dolgeville.

Galway 15, OESJ 0

GALWAY — Matt Smith finished with a six-hole total of 27 to help Galway to a sweep of Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville in a WAC match at Pioneer Hills Golf Club on Friday.

Sam Neahr had a 28 for the Golden Eagles, Eric Zelezniak had a 31 and Henry Flint carded a 33. Amber Kolpakas posted a 42 for Galway and Nika Horvath added a 44.

Jesse Watson led OESJ with a 38, while Josie Brundage finished with a 40. David Doxtater and Anderson Eggleston each had round of 45, Sydney Schell had a 47 and Blake Bergen added a 48.

Both teams are off until Thursday when they will compete in the Western Athletic Conference Championship at Hopson Hills Golf Course in Dolgeville.

Northville/Mayfield 15, OESJ 0

DOLGEVILLE — Trevor Ruberti posted a six-hole total of 27 to lead Northville/Mayfield to a WAC victory over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville at Hopson Hills Golf Course on Thursday.

Tyler Maples and Jordan Miller each finished with a 28 for Northville/Mayfield, while George Abdella had a 30. Aiden Martuscello had a 32 for Northville/Mayfield and Andrew Cordone added 39.

Jesse Watson and Brandon Hulten each had rounds of 34 to lead OESJ, while Josie Brundage posted a 36. Anderson Eggleston had a 38 for OESJ, Carolyn Littrell had a 45 and Madison Schell added a 48.
