H.S. Golf Roundup: Amsterdam tops Johnstown
AMSTERDAM — C.J. Durinick carded a 40 to lead Amsterdam to a 179-208 victory over Johnstown in a Foothills Council golf match at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course on Wednesday.
Ryan Welch finished with a 41 for the Rams, Aubrey Nethaway had a 47 and Tommy Ziskin carded a 48. Andy Welch and Quinn Healy each had rounds of 50, Kyle Bottisti had a 51, Lucca Quatrini posted a 58 and Dan Riley added a 59.
Molly Kortz finished with a 44 to lead Johnstown, while Claire Anderson carded a 45. Will Gerlach posted a 48 for Johnstown, Wyatt Fraiser and Antonio DeMarco each had rounds of 51, and Carter Cheney posted a 55. Aidan Green registered a 58 for the Sir Bills and Cam Arminio added a 64.
Johnstown is scheduled to host Broadalbin-Perth today at Fox Run Golf Club at 4 p.m.
Amsterdam is off until Monday when it is scheduled to host Scotia-Glenville at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course at 4 p.m.
Northville/Mayfield 12, Fort Plain 3
JOHNSTOWN — Tyler Maples posted a six-hole total of 25 to lead Northville/Mayfield to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fort Plain at Hales Mills Country Club.
Jordan Miller and Andrew Cordone each had rounds of 29 for Northville/Mayfield, while Trevor Ruberti finished with a 30. George Abdella carded a 33 for Northville/Mayfield and Aiden Martuscello added a 34.
Evan Crouse led Fort Plain with a 28, while Troy Butler posted a 31.
Rob Rogers finishes with a 36 for the Hilltoppers, Owin Landry had a 37, and Brady Keane and Quinnlan Brown each had rounds of 39.
Both teams will be competing in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament today at Hopson Hills Golf Course in Dolgeville.
