Area golfers compete at Foothills tourney

JOHNSTOWN — Fox Run Golf Club hosted the Foothills Council girls golf tournament on Friday.

Five schools were represented at the tourney and Queensbury took home the team title with a total of 90. Broadalbin-Perth (107) was second, Johnstown (113) was third and Gloversville (139) was fourth.

Queensbury’s Geena Burkich had the low round of the day with a 42, while Queensbury’s Adriana Della Bella was second with a 48.

Mairead Marsden led Broadalbin-Perth, placing third with a total of 50, while Johnstown’s Mollie Kortz was fourth with a 56.

Broadalbin-Perth’s Giayna Abel and Camille Calderone, and Johnstown’s Claire Anderson finished in a three-way tie for fifth with rounds of 57.

Amsterdam’s Aubrey Nethaway and Glvoersville’s Finley Ebersole shared eighth with rounds of 68, and Gloversvile’s Melia Stoller was 10th with a 71.
