AHS girls tennis records first win

HUDSON FALLS — The Amsterdam girls tennis team won three of five singles matches and both doubles contests to post a 5-2 victory over Hudson Falls in a Foothills Council girls tennis match Saturday.

Natalie Flint, Malia Colwill and Abby Peninger all won singles matches for the Lady Rams.

Emma Pierce and Amy Brittain won at first doubles for Amsterdam (1-2 overall, 1-2 Foothills), while Lauren Mowrey and Taylor Smith won at second doubles.

Maggie Potvin and Annalise Baker won singles matches for Hudson Falls.

Amsterdam is scheduled to host Scotia-Glenville today at 4 p.m.
