EPHRATAH — Caroga Creek RacePark roared back into action this weekend with a pair of events. The first, on Friday night September 11th was the second round of the WCRS and NEPRO Series. The second was the weekly program held on Saturday afternoon. The weekly program offered double features for all classes.

On Friday night, the Slingshot division joined the NEPRO and WCRS series classes. Like the counterparts on Saturday, the Slingshots ran double feature events. When all was said and done Devin Pierce and Brett Putnam claimed the checkered flags.

Pierce won the first 20 lap event over Joe Rando and Putnam while Putnam won the nightcap over Pierce and Jim Pollard.

The NEPRO portion of the program would see Jeremy Tuttle (Clone 360), Matt Chavis (Stock Heavy) and Tyler Belanger (Stock Lite) pick up the wins.

The WCRS portion of the nights action would see Mike Allery (Pro), Billy Stone (Semi-Pro), Chris Crane (10-15), Connor Crane (5-9 Pro) and Colton Traylor (5-9 Novice) take the checkered flags.

On Saturday afternoon, each class ran double features. Sweeping their feature events were Allery, Ohwan Swinton, Ryan Edwards, Jeff Swartz, Jayden Ziegler, E.J. Hatch and Joey Williams.

The Caroga Creek RacePark returns to action on Saturday with the second and final doubleheader event of the season. At 1 p.m., the weekly program of Slingshot and Kart racing will take to the track, then at 6:30 p.m. the WCRS and NEPRO Series will be back in action for their third events of the season. Gates open at 9 a.m. with practice starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Due to New York State Regulations no spectators are allowed at this time.
