Fonda welcomes fans back with weekend doubleheader
FONDA — After a rainout of the “Firecracker 50” on Wednesday evening, the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway will be back in action on Saturday, July 4 with a program called “The Red, White, & Blue Special” sponsored by the Recovery Sports Grill.
On Saturday evening the Sunoco Modifieds will compete in a $4,000 to win feature event while the Algonkin Pro Stocks will compete in a $1,776 to win event. All other divisions except for the Four Cylinder Cruisers will also be in action on Saturday evening along with the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series (MVVDMS).
Adult admission for Saturday is $11. Seniors pay $9. Kids 11 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $30 (Fonda Members) or $35 (Non-Members). Gates will open on Saturday, July 4 at 4:00 p.m. with hot laps at 6:00 p.m. and racing at 7:00 p.m.
The rain date for the $10,000 to win Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled by Sunoco North Region Modified “Firecracker 50” event is set for this coming Sunday, July 5 with hot laps at 6:00 p.m. and racing at 7:00 p.m. The STSS North Region Sportsman will also be in action on Sunday in a $2,000 to win feature event.
the Sunday event is $20. Seniors pay $18. Kids 11 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $30 (Fonda Members) or $35 (Non-Members).
At all Fonda Speedway events, masks are required for entry. Social distancing and CDC guidelines must be followed.
