Fonda scheduled to race June 13, 14

FONDA — Racing is set to return to Fonda Speedway.

Following a practice session for all divisions this Saturday, the Track of Champions will drop the green flag on its first racing event of the season on June 13 with a second day of racing set for June 14.

While the cars will be on the track, the grandstand will be closed to fans per New York State Regulations regarding COVID-19.

The pit gates will open for this Saturday’s practice session at 3 p.m. with the cars taking to the track from 6 to 10 p.m.

The June 13 racing event will feature the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman, Algonkin Motel Pro Stocks, and the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Racing Series along with practice rounds for all other divisions. Pit gates will open at 3 p.m. with hot laps taking to the track at 6 p.m. and racing starting at 7 p.m.

The Sunoco modifieds will hit the track for their first race of the season on June 14. They will be joined on the race program by the Montgomery County Office for Aging Limited Sportsman division and the Roberts Towing and Recovery Street Stocks and 4-cylinder cruisers. Pit gates will open at 3 p.m. with hot laps slated for 6 p.m. and racing starting at 6:30 p.m.

Race events will be streamed live by Dirt Track Digest TV.
