Amsterdam’s Flint selected Foothills Council all-star
Amsterdam’s Natalie Flint was the lone area selection to the 2019 Foothills Council girls tennis all-star team.
Flint was named a first-team all-star for the Lady Rams, who went 5-6 overall and 4-6 in Foothills play.
Queensbury, which won the league title with a 10-0 league record, had Megan Chase, Lexi Murray and Olivia Pryzbysz named first-team all-stars. Queensbury also reached the Section II Class A finals before losing to top-seeded Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 7-0.
Scotia-Glenville and South Glens Falls each had two first-team selections. Cassie Cenzano and Charlotte Tvelia were named to the first team for the Tartans, while Jessica Sexton and Molly Kileen earned first-team honors for the Bulldogs. Scotia-Glenville went 9-2 in Foothills Council play this season, while South Glens Falls was 8-3.
Rounding out the first-team selections were Hudson Falls’ Maggie Potvin and Greenwich’s Maddy Brophy.
Queensbury’s Annabelle Trowbridge was named honorable mention, along with Scotia-Glenville’s Julia Carroll and Jordan Ladouceur.
Rounding out the honorable-mention selections were South Glens Falls’ Kristen Wright, Greenwich’s Shea Fortier, Glens Falls’ Julie Westfall and Greenwich’s Rachel Mueller.
