Royal Mountain racers post solid showings

CAROGA LAKE — The Royal Mountain Racing Team hosted the ADK Slalom race at Royal Mountain on Sunday.

The top finishers for Royal were Samantha Sandel of Gloversville and Noah Stock of Johnstown. Sandel won the girls U12 division, while Stock won the U12 boys division.

In the boys U8 division, Johnstown’s Ethan Cornell was fifth, Johnstown’s Owen Cox was sixth and Johnstown’s Ethan Stock was seventh.

Canada Lake’s Embree Fielding was seventh in the girls U10 division, while Sophia Edel-Conyne was ninth.

In the boys U10 division, Johnstown’s Wyatt Cox was second and Johnstown’s Kosta Vahaviolos was disqualified.

Glens Falls’ Sylvia Slingerland was fourth in the girls U12 division, while Canajoharie’s Olivia Meka was disqualified.

Johnstown’s Carson Cheney was third in the boys U12 division and Gloversville’s Tanner Sandell was fifth.

In the girls U8 division, Johnstown’s Charlee Vahaviolos and Johnstown’s Rhyleigh Bills were both disqualified.
