Johnstown boys lose to Schuylerville, 72-58

JOHNSTOWN — Jacob Vanderhoof finished with 18 points to lead Schuylerville to a 72-58 victory over Johnstown in a Foothills Council boys basketball game Friday at Johnstown High School.

The Black Horses outscored the Sir Bills in every quarter on their way to the win.

Alex Vallee scores 14 points for Schuylerville (4-9 Foothills), while Cayden Rutland scored 11 points. Owen Sherman added 10 points for the Black Horses, who handed Johnstown its 12th straight loss.

Josh Hoyt scored 18 points to lead the Sir Bills, while Keegan Feinour had 17 points. Abe Miller added 14 points for Johnstown (1-14 overall, 1-12 Foothills), which is scheduled to travel to Broadalbin-Perth on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. game.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS — Dante Bouchard scored 23 points to power Gloversville to a Foothills Council victory over South Glens Falls.

The Dragons led 39-17 at the half on their way to their ninth straight win.

Joey Rowback scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Gloversville, while Kadyn Ruggeri scored nine points. Sam Getman and Gio Glionna each added seven points for the Dragons.

Jonathan Maniacek scored nine points to lead South Glens Falls (4-9 Foothills), while Cameron Woodard added eight points.

Gloversville (13-1 overall, 12-1 Foothills) is scheduled to host Schuylerville on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Patriots outscored the Spartans 40-19 in the second half to earn the win, which was their fifth in their last six contests.

Jackson Sassanella finished with 13 points for Broadalbin-Perth (9-6 overall, 8-5 Foothills), while Michael Magliocca added 12 points.

Bryce Bleibtrey scored 17 points to lead Queensbury (10-5 overall 9-4 Foothills), while Nathan Johnson added 12 points

Broadalbin-Perth is scheduled to host Johnstown on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Jonathan Beagle finished with 22 points for the Tigers (8-5 Foothills), while Ben Swartz added 21 points on seven 3-pointers.

Caydren Graveley and Yandeel Vazquez each scored 21 points for Amsterdam (7-8 overall, 7-6 Foothills), wile Damion Colon added 13 points.

The Rams are scheduled to travel to Glens Falls on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. contest.

BERNE — Zeke Pulliam scored a game-high 36 points to lift Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fonda-Fultonville.

The Bulldogs outscored the Braves 29-19 in the fourth quarter to send Fonda-Fultonville to its second straight defeat.

Mark Edwards finished with 25 points for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Jackson Atty scored 33 points to lead Fonda-Fultonville (13-3 overall, 8-2 WAC), while John Mancini had 19 points. Colin Kowalski added 13 points for the Braves, who are scheduled to host Galway next Friday at 7 p.m.

Atty’s effort pushed him to 1,297 career points, passing Kevin Hanson’s total of 1,265 to become the all-time leading scorer in program history.

Travis LaFountain scored 18 points for OESJ and Mason Snell added 10 points.

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (4-13 overall, 1-9 WAC) is scheduled to travel to Fort Plain on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest.

Carter Scribner scored 23 points to lead Galway (5-11 overall, 4-5 WAC), while Ryan Lovelass had 12 points. Henry Flint added 11 points for the Golden Eagles.
