FMCC women lose to North Country

SARANAC LAKE — Kayla Carder finished with 18 points to lead North Country Community College to an 81-47 victory over Fulton-Montgomery Community College in a Mountain Valley Conference women’s basketball game Wednesday.

Carder also scored her 1,000th career point for the Saints, who jumped out to a 46-19 lead on their way to the victory.

Talesa Campbell scored 17 points for the Saints, Damoni Wells 13 and Lavender Ward 12 for North Country.

Kendra Lavery scored 14 points to lead FMCC, while Niaimani Marshall and Djenaba Ndiaye each had eight points.

FMCC (10-10 overall) is scheduled to host Clinton Community College on Sunday at 5 p.m.
