Dolgeville volleyball loses in semifinals
NEDROW — Gracie Francis finished with 11 digs and 10 kills to lead Onondaga to a 3-0 victory over Dolgeville in the semifinals of the Section III Class C volleyball tournament Tuesday.
The second-seeded Tigers won by scores of 25-21, 25-12 and 25-14.
Sam Geis had 30 assists, seven digs and three aces for Onondaga, Jordyn Polge had 20 digs, Sierra Trotman posted 12 kills, five blocks and two aces, and Calie McLaughlin had six kills and three digs. Allie Volles finished with nine digs and two aces for the Tigers, Cassidy Field had five digs and Alannah Lewandoski added five kills, four digs and two aces.
Emma Bilinski finished with 10 digs, six assists, four kills and two aces for third-seeded Dolgeville, while Rylee Lamphere had 10 digs, seven assists and five kills. Jazzlyn Grassel posted nine digs, five kills, two aces and two blocks for the Blue Devils, Breanna Potts had 11 digs and two kills, and Breanna Potts notched 11 digs and two kills.
Ashlynne Seeley finished with eight digs for Dolgeville and Morgan Beaulieu had six digs. Brianna Bruce, Laikyn Cramer-Snowman and Maighen Ehrle all had two digs for the Blue Devils.
Onondaga (18-3 overall) advances to Saturday’s Class C title match to face top-seeded Beaver River (16-1 overall) at Jamesville-DeWitt High School. The Beavers posted a 3-0 victory over fourth-seeded Tully in their semifinal match, winning by scores of 25-11, 25-18 and 25-20.
Dolgeville finished its season with a 15-4 overall record.
