Goodson leads Lady Rams to Foothills win

BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin-Perth Lady Patriots broke out to a 5-0 lead before Amsterdam got rolling and pulled away for a 63-30 Foothills Council victory Thursday at the Robert C. Munn Gymnasium at Broadalbin-Perth High School.

Sierra Goodson led the Lady Rams with 18 points, all from behind the 3-point arc, while Jackie Stanavich finished with 11 points and Antonia May had 10 points.

Makenzie Smith led Broadalbin-Perth with 10 points, while Emma Goebel had six and Lauralie Grainer and Macy Bollart chipped in with four points apiece.

Broadalbin-Perth (3-10 overall, 3-7 Foothills) will travel to play Glens Falls in a non-league game Thursday, while Amsterdam (11-2 overall, 9-1 Foothills) will play Maple Hill in a non-league game at noon Sunday at Columbia-Greene Community College.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS — South High rallied for 19 fourth-quarter points and forced overtime to pick up the Foothills Council victory Thursday at South Glens Falls High School.

Sydney Hart led the Bulldogs (7-3 Foothills) with 22 points, while Hannah Breen finished with 11 and Courtney Robarge and Zoe Lanfear chipped in with eight points apiece.

Johnstown (6-6 overall, 5-5 Foothills) was paced by Anna Lee’s 15 points, while Jaden Wilson finished with 13 and Jaidyn Chest chipped in with 10.
