Lady Raiders fall short against Saints

JOHNSTOWN — Kayla Carder finished with a game-high 32 points to lead North Country Community College to a 90-57 victory over Fulton-Montgomery Community College in a Mountain Valley Conference women’s basketball game Wednesday.

Carder also had eight rebounds for the Saints.

Dontasia had 17 points, nine rebounds, two steals and two assists for North Country (8-0 overall, 1-0 MVC). Taiesa Campbell had eight points, 10 assists, eight rebounds and three steals for the Saints.

Niaimani Marshall scored 22 points to lead FMCC. She also had five rebounds, two steals and two assists. Djenaba Ndiave finished with 13 points and seven rebounds for the Lady Raiders, while Hasjina Gaddy added 11 points, six rebounds and three steals.

FMCC (4-2 overall, 0-1 MVC) is scheduled to travel to Finger Lakes Community College on Sunday for a 1 p.m. contest.
