Braves, Cougars split WAC bowling match
CANAJOHARIE — The Fonda-Fultonville and Canajoharie boys bowling teams split their match, while the Canajoharie girls swept theirs in Western Athletic Conference action Thursday at Iroquois Lanes.
Fonda-Fultonville rolled games of 767, 799, 877 to finish with 2,443 total pins, while Canajoharie rolled games of 811, 802 and 767 to finish with a total of 2,380 pins.
On the girls side, Canajoharie swept the match with games of 762, 705 and 699 for a total of 2,116 pins, while Fonda-Fultonville rolled 493, 458 and 476 for 1,427 total pins.
Canajoharie’s Dereck Mereness rolled the high series on the day with a 212-593 performance, while the Cougars’ Riley Montanye rolled a 180-520 triple and Barry Yerdon finished with a 170-498.
Ethan Auspelmyer led Fonda-Fultonville with his 210-533 triple, while Tomek Kowalczyk rolled a 200-518 and Korey Davis added a 181-493 series.
Melissa Bates led the Canajoharie girls with her 199-532 series and Chloe Hoffman finished with a 182-465 triple.
Faith Coleman rolled the high triple for the Lady Braves with a 136-381 and Maureen McGaha finished with a 11–308.
South Glens Falls 4, Broadalbin-Perth 0
AMSTERDAM — Jacob Hall rolled a high 246-684 series to lead South Glens Falls to a sweep of Broadalbin-Perth with a total of 3,388-2,892 in Foothills Council action Thursday at Kelly’s Imperial Lanes.
Willis Bickford finished with a 245-677 for the Bulldogs, while Dalton Jones added a 230-566.
Alex Filmer led Broadalbin-Perth with his 225-548 triple, while Jake Pavone rolled a 233-517 and Kobi Mason added a 170-479 triple.
