Galway, Wells fall at Benson Tourney

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga Central Catholic built a 15-point first-quarter lead and held on to defeat Galway 64-52 in boys action in the opening round of the Benson Tournament Friday at Saratoga Central Catholic High School.

Robbie Bolen paced host Spa Catholic with 33 points, including seven 3-pointers, while Jordan Catone chipped in with 12 points, all from behind the 3-point arc.

Brendan Shader led Galway with 13 points, while Ryan Lovelass hit for 11 and Carter Scribner chipped in with nine points.

SARATOAG SPRINGS — Argyle got a 28-point performance from Peyton Lufkin en route to defeating Wells 91-57 in the opening round of the Benson Tournament Friday at Saratoga Central Catholic High School.

Byron Stuart led Wells with his 25-point performance that included five 3-pointers and tyler Bolebruch added 12 points.

Derek Liddle finished with 19 points for Argyle, while Caide Flanders and Parker Frost added 15 points apiece.
