Dolgeville runners compete at sectionals
VERNON — The Dolgeville boys finished 20th in the Class D race at the Section III Cross Country Championships.
Beaver River won the team title with 17 points, Sauquoit Valley was second with 93 points and Tully was third with 117 points. The Blue Devils were 20th with 518 points.
Beaver River’s Colton Kempney won the race with a time of 16:26.3.
Cameron Jackson was 33rd to lead Dolgeville, finished with a time of 19:12.0.
Ethan Humphries (22:54.2) was 118th for the Blue Devils, John Ackerly (25:18.2) was 151st. Andrew Ashe (25:29.1) was 152nd for Dolgeville, Jay Countryman (27:13.8) was 167th and William Rauch (27:13.8) was 170th.
In the girls race, Tully claimed the team title with 44 points, Beaver River (59 points) was second and Remsen/Old Forge (61) was third. Dolgeville fielded an incomplete team.
Tully’s Brooke Rauber won the race with a time of 17:44.8.
Anna-Mae Nellis was Dolgeville’s top finisher, placing 13th with a time of 21:35.1.
Ainsley Billings (24:44.4) was 50th for the Blue Devils.
