BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin-Perth boys soccer program will host the 11th annual Robin Blowers Pink Out today.

The event will raise money for the American Cancer Society, as they remember those who have lost their battle with cancer and honor those who are currently fighting the disease.

The Pink Out is a community event with vendors, raffles, food, games and three boys soccer games against Johnstown (modified — 3 p.m., junior varsity — 5 p.m. and varsity– 7 p.m.).

A small remembrance speech about Blowers, former high school principal who lost her battle with cancer in 2015, will be given at halftime of the varsity game.

Survivors will be asked to stand as players give out pink carnations.

Pink magnetic ribbons will be available for purchase.

All boys soccer players will be wearing pink jerseys.

There will be a fun run around the high school track for students in kindergarten through fifth grade at 2:30 p.m.

All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. To date, this annual event has raised more than $50,000.

All of the events will take place at Broadalbin-Perth High School’s Patriot Field, which is located at 100 Bridge St. in Broadalbin.
