Girls Soccer Roundup: Mayfield blanks Berne-Knox-Westerlo

BERNE — Kelsey Meca finished with two goals and an assist to lead Mayfield to a 5-0 victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest Tuesday.

Emily Senese, Jordan Miller and Lindsey Hampton also scored for the Lady Panthers.

Mayfield (4-8-1 overall, 4-4-1 WAC) is slated to travel to Schoharie today for a 4:15 p.m. contest.

Canajoharie 4, Middleburgh 0

MIDDLEBURGH — Giana Murphy finished with two goals to lead Canajoharie to a WAC victory over Middleburgh.

Kylee Richard and Vanessa VanSlyke each had a goal and an assist for the Lady Cougars, while Jenna Trembley added an assist.

Hunter Pitcher made two saves to post the shutout in goal for Canajoharie (6-7 overall, 5-3 WAC).

Kylie Whitt made eight stops for Middleburgh.

Northern Soccer League

Crown Point 4, Wells 0

CROWN POINT — Lauren Kimball netted a hat trick to lead Crown Point to a victory over Wells.

Emily DeFelice also scored for the Panthers, who outshot the Lady Indians by a 16-3 margin.

Eleanor Harmon posted three saves to post the shutout in goal for Crown Point.

Madigan Miner-Vargas finished with 12 stops for Wells (0-8 overall, 0-8 NSL).
