Girls Soccer Roundup: Lady Bills outlast Lady Braves, 3-1
FONDA — Three different players scored to lead Johnstown to a 3-1 victory over Fonda-Fultonville in a non-league girls soccer contest Monday on a wet, rainy afternoon.
Ally Queeney, Grace Giarrizzo and Madison Delgado scored for the Lady Bills, while Jaidyn Chest had two assists. Queeney added one assist for Johnstown, which outshot the Lady Braves by a 14-10 margin.
Jill Sandel scored the lone goal for Fonda-Fultonville on an assist from Quincy Lake.
Hope Buboltz made eight saves for Johnstown, while Emma Crahan had 10 stops for the Lady Braves.
Johnstown (5-4-3) is scheduled to host Gloversville on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in a Foothills Council South Division contest.
Fonda-Fultonville (3-11 overall) is slated to travel to Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville on Wednesday for a 4:15 p.m. Western Athletic Conference contest.
Schuylerville 2, Gloversville 0
SCHUYLERVILLE — Cassandra Cooper and Brooke Keefer scored to lead Schuylerville to a victory over Gloversville.
Olivia Carozza had an assist for the Black Horses.
Claire Pelletier-Hoblock made nine saves to post the shutout in goal for Schuylerville.
Meredith Dennie had 13 saves for Gloversville, which is slated to travel to Johnstown on Wednesday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
Schoharie 8, OESJ 0
HERKIMER — Katie Krohn finished with four goals to lead Schoharie to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville in a game played at Herkimer College.
Megan Krohn recorded two goals and an assist for the Indians, Haley Drinon had a goal and two assists, and Morgan Phelan also scored.
Maddie Bland made four saves to post the shutout in goal for Schoharie.

Dolgeville 5, Frankfort-Schuyler 2
DOLGEVILLE — Alexis Smith scored twice to lead Dolgeville to a victory over Frankfort-Schuyler.
Hannah Spofford, Rylee Lamphere and Julie Williams also scored for the Blue Devils, while Madisen Gorinshek and Ryanne Williams each had an assist.
Selena Mathews and Demi Scaldo scored for Frankfort-Schuyler.
Dakota Jeffers made eight saves for Dolgeville, which outshot Frankfort-Schuyler 27-12
Mia Amendolare finished with 14 saves for the Maroon Knights.
Columbia 4, Amsterdam 0
AMSTERDAM — Kaiden Ring scored twice to lead Columbia to a non-league victory over Amsterdam at Lynch Literacy Academy.
Sophia Pallozzi and Abigail Heeg also scored for the Blue Devils, who outshot the Lady Rams by a 30-1 margin.
Kyra Russo made just one save to post the shutout in goal for Columbia (5-8 overall).
Karen Troche posted 26 saves for Amsterdam (2-10 overall), which dropped its ninth straight contest.
Canajoharie, Middleburgh ppd.
CANAJOHARIE — Wet weather forced the postponement of Monday’s WAC contest between Middleburgh and Canajoharie.
The game was rescheduled for today at 4:15 p.m. with Middleburgh now hosting the contest instead of Canajoharie.
