H.S. Golf Roundup: Johnstown gets past Gloversville, 179-207

GLOVERSVILLE — Will Gerlach finished with a 39 to lead Johnstown to a 179-207 victory over Gloversville in a Foothills Council golf match Monday at Kingsboro Golf Club.

Liam Ackerbauer posted a 45 for the Sir Bills, Aiden Greene had a 47 and Abe Miller finished with a 48. Wyatt Frasier added a 53 for the Sir Bills.

Aiden Carter and Logan Sweeney each had rounds of 49 to lead Gloversville, while Luca DeMaio had a 53. Cole Raczynski finished with a 56 for the Huskies and Brad Wisniewski added a 69.

Broadalbin-Perth 166, Scotia-Glenville 202

SCHENECTADY — Stuart Bond, Connor Canale and Matt Danise all had rounds of 40 to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a Foothills Council victory over Scotia-Glenville at Stadium Golf Club.

Nate Phillips posted a 46 for B-P, which improved to 9-0 overall and 8-0 in Foothills Council play.

Grace Kochan posted a 41 to lead South Glens Falls, while Josh Frament finished with a 52. Frank Latano carded a 54 for the Tartans and Alec Hodge added a 55.


Fonda-Fultonville 8, Canajoharie 7

CANAJOHARIE — Colin Kowalski carded a 44 to led Fonda-Fultonville to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Canajoharie at Canajoharie Golf and Country Club.

Noah Moran and Alex Saltsman each had rounds of 50 for the Braves, while Cayden Egelston posted a 52. Gabe Mormile finished with a 54 for the Braves and Colby Monty added a 60.

Jack Krug posted a 41 to lead Canajoharie, while Kyle Oertel finished with a 45.

Riley Montanye carded a 51 for the Cougars, Tyler Christman had a 52 and Mike Tiberio and Jack Montanye each had rounds of 56.

Schoharie 15, OESJ 0

COBLESKILL — Shane Helmstadt posted a 40 to lead Schoharie to a WAC victory over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville at Cobleskill Golf and Country Club.

Jeb Brundage led OESJ with a round of 52, while Von Baker posted a 54.

Galway 14 1/2, Northville-Mayfield 1/2

NORTHVILLE — Ryan Lovelass finished with a 36 to lead Galway to a WAC victory over Northville-Mayfield at Sacandaga Golf Club.

Matt Smith posted a 40 for the Golden Eagles, Josh Lovelass carded a 46 and Sam Neahr had a 49. Brendan Shader posted a 50 for Galway and Matt Walker addeda 57.

James DeRonda led Northville with a round of 51, Jordan Miller had a 52 and George Abdella carded a 55. Gavin Bown finished with a 57 for Northville-Mayfield, Dillan Salvione had a 60 and Nicholas Williams added a 62.
