H.S. Golf Roundup: Johnstown defeats Scotia-Glenville, 175-197

SCHENECTADY — Aidan Greene finished with a round of 41 to lead Johnstown to a 175-197 victory over Scotia-Glenville in a Foothills Council golf match at Stadium Golf Club on Tuesday.

The team total of 175 was Johnstown’s lowest of the season.

Liam Ackerbauer posted a 42 for the Sir Bills (5-4 Foothills), Will Gerlach had a 43 and Abe Miller added a 49.

Grace Kochan finished with a 43 to lead Scotia-Glenville, while Henry Jones had a 48. Frank Latano posted a 52 for the Tartans and Nick Harding added a 54.

Amsterdam 170, Gloversville 189

GLOVERSVILLE — Erin Rivera finished with a 36 to lead Amsterdam to a Foothills Council victory over Gloversville at Kingsboro Golf Club.

C.J. Durinick posted a 39 for the Rams, Ryan Welch carded a 46 and Andrew Iannotti had a 47.

Dan Riley finished with a 48 for the Rams and Nick Antonelli added a 49.

Aiden Carter posted a 41 to lead Gloversville, while Cole Raczynski had a 47.

Logan Sweeney carded a 48 for the Huskies, Darrien Sira and Luca DeMaio each had rounds of 53, and Brad Wisniewski posted a 55.

Julius Brown added a 63 for Gloversville.

Amsterdam is scheduled to host Broadalbin-Perth today at Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course, while Gloversville is scheduled to travel to Schenectady to face Scotia-Glenville at Stadium Golf Club.


Duanesburg 153, Fonda-Fultonville 179

DUANESBURG –Dylan Carlson finished with a round of 34 to lead Duanesburg to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fonda-Fultonville at Hillcrest Golf Course

John Grant and Matt Coons each had rounds of 36 for Duanesburg, while Tyler Drexel had a 47. Cormac Marz finished with a 48 and Connor Butler posted a 57.

Colin Kowalski posted a 42 to lead Fonda-Fultonville, while Max Shirley and Noah Moran each had rounds of 43. Alex Saltsman added a 62 for the Braves.
