H.S. Golf Roundup: Johnstown defeats Gloversville

JOHNSTOWN — Aidan Greene, Liam Ackerbauer and Will Gerlach all posted rounds of 43 to help Johnstown to a 177-191 victory over Gloversville in a Foothills Council golf match at Fox Run Golf Club on Wednesday.

Abe Miller carded a 48 for the Sir Bills.

Aiden Carter posted a 42 to lead Gloversville, Cole Raczynski had a 46 and Luca DeMaio posted a 50. Brad Wisniewski added a 53 for the Huskies.

Johnstown is slated to host Scotia-Glenville on Monday, while Gloversville is set to travel to Amsterdam on Monday.

Broadalbin-Perth 155, Scotia-Glenville 224

VAIL MILLS — Stuart Bond and Matt Danise each had rounds of 38 to help Broadalbin-Perth to a Foothills Council victory over Scotia-Glenville at Holland Meadows Golf Course.

Brandon Miller had a 39 for B-P (12-1 overall, 11-1 Foothills), while Connor Canale posted a 40.

Grace Kochan finished with a 41 to lead Scotia-Glenville, Josh Frament had a 60 and Frank Latano posted a 61. Alec Hodge added a 62 for the Tartans.

WAC

Galway 11, Canajoharie 4

GALWAY — Ryan Lovelass finished with a round of 35 to lead Galway to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Canajoharie at Pioneer Hills Golf Course.

Josh Lovelass had a 45 for the Golden Eagles, Matt Smith posted a 48 and Sam Neahr had a 49. Brendan Shader finished with a 57 for Galway and Matt Walker added a 68.

Jack Krug posted a 45 to lead Canajoharie, while Riley Montayne and Tyler Christman each had rounds of 50. Tyler Montayne had a 53 for the Cougars and Mike Tiberio and Kyle Oertel each had rounds of 57.

Fort Plain 12 1/2, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 2 1/2

CANAJOHARIE — Taylor Gifford carded a 36 to lead Fort Plain to a WAC victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo at Canajoharie Golf and Country Club.

Evan Crouse posted a 45 for the Hilltoppers, Rob Rogers had a 49 and Quinnlan Brown finished with a 52.

Troy Butler posted a 56 for Fort Plain and Seth Rivkowich added a 57.

Seth Motschmann finished with a 38 to lead Berne-Knox-Westerlo, while Caleb Schrader had a 51. Will Boltri and Jason Basle each had rounds of 54 for the Bulldogs, Kyle Quay had a 57, and Hunter Stevens added a 69.
