Mayfield-Northville boys, girls place second at meet
MIDDLEBURGH — The Mayfield-Northville boys and girls track and field teams both placed second Saturday at the Marsh-Galotta Invitational at Middleburgh High School.
The Mayfield-Northville girls finished with 72 points to finish second behind Maple Hill, which had a total of 156 points. Duanesburg was third with 71 points, Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons was fourth with 53 points and Catskill was fifth with 48 points. Fort Plain-Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville was ninth with 12 points.
Maple Hill also won the boys team title, finishing with 220 points. Mayfield-Northville was second with 86 points, FP-OESJ was third with 74 points, Bishop Gibbons was fourth with 38 points and Cairo-Durham was fifth with 37 points.
In the boys meet, Mayfield-Northville’s Evan Lehr won the high jump with a height of 5-10, while Mayfield-Northville’s Trevor Lehr was second with a height of 5-4.
FP-OESJ’s Mekhi Lanier was third in the 100 meters with a time of 12.11 seconds and fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 24.36 seconds. Lanier also was third in the 400 meters with a time of 53.94 seconds.
Mayfield-Northville’s Daniel Leach was fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 24.67 seconds. Leach also was second in the 400 meters with a time of 53.81 seconds.
Evan Lehr (38-1) was second in the triple jump, while Trevor Lehr (36-9) was fourth
FP-OESJ’s Zachary Mosher was second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.86, while Mayfield-Northville’s Braden Jourden (2:23.63) was third.
Moser also was third in the 1,600 meters with a time of 5:07.41, while Mayfield-Northville’s Antonio Mannino (5:18.81) was sixth.
Mannino also was third in the 3,200 meters with a time of 12:16.83, while Mayfield-Northville’s Hunter Jones (12:17.54) was fourth.
In the 400 hurdles, FP-OESJ’s Armand Root (1:07.86) was third and FP-OESJ’s Owin Landry (1:08.21) was fourth.
Mayfield-Northville’s Dylan Bumpus won the pole vault with a height of 12-6. Bumpus also was fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 56.67 seconds.
FP-OESJ’s Joe LeMoine (36-4) was fifth in the triple jump, while Mayfield-Northville’s Britain Goodemote (36-1 1/4) was sixth.
In the discus, Fort Plain-Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville’s Ethan Gallt (96-2) was fourth and FP-OESJ’s Howie Kelly (94-2) was sixth.
Mayfield-Northville was fifth in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 51.27 seconds, while Fort Plain-Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (52.46) was sixth.
Mayfield-Northville (3:49.88) also was second in the 4 x 400 relay.
In the 4 x 800 relay, Mayfield-Northville (10:16.43) was second and FP-OESJ (10:26.04) was third.
In the girls meet, Mayfield-Northville’s Madison Relyea won the 800 meters with a time of 2:28.51, while Mayfield-Northville’s Kira Williams was second with a time of 2:38.09.
Relyea also won the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:48.24, while Williams was third in the 3,000 meters with a time of 12:07.43.
Mikayla Myers was fifth in the 100-meter dash for Mayfield-Northville with a time of 14.44 seconds. Myers also placed second in the long jump (14-11) and second in the triple jump (31-6).
Sam Kent won the discus with a throw of 89-11. Kent also was fourth in the shot put for Mayfield-Northville with a throw of 25-5.
Fort Plain-Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville’s Sarah Florian was fourth in the discus with a throw of 80-8, while FP-OESJ’s Sarah Paradiso (73-2) was fifth.
Mayfield was fifth in the 4 x 100 relay (1:00.13) and fourth in the 4 x 400 relay (4:59.92).
FP-OESJ was fifth in the 4 x 400 relay (5:12.16) and fourth in the 4 x 800 relay (12:36.07).
