JHS girls lacrosse routs Amsterdam
AMSTERDAM — After losing for the first time this season Wednesday against Queensbury, the Johnstown girls lacrosse team rebounded with a 22-5 victory over Amsterdam in a Foothills Council contest at Lynch Literacy Academy on Friday.
Abbey Hollister had a goal and an assist for Johnstown and recorded her 100th career point, becoming the third Lady Bills to reach the milestone this season.
Hollister joined Maddie Etherton and Ally Queeney, who reached the 100-point mark for their career earlier this season.
Etherton had five goals and an assist for Johnstown (9-1 overall, 7-1 Foothills), Amber Tesi had four goals and three assists, and Taryn Ringer had four goals and four assists.
Emily Fleming finished with two goals for the Lady Bills, Rachel Lee had a goal and an assist, and Molly Memrick added a goal.
Kayli Hoefs had three goals to lead Amsterdam (3-8 overall, 2-7 Foothills), while Sydney Hoefs had two goals. Elena Fedullo added an assist for the Lady Rams.
Mari-Ahna Manchester made seven saves for Johnstown, while Kelly Kilgallen had two saves for Amsterdam.
