QUEENSBURY — Gloversville’s Damian Bruce, left, and Ryan Issa won the annual Foothills Council Doubles Tournament at Queensbury High School on Tuesday. The pair won the tile for the second straight year. It also was the third straight win by a Gloversville team as Damian Bruce teamed with his brother, Scotty Bruce, to win the 2016 title. The 2017 tournament was rained out.

Damian Bruce and Issa were the No. 1 seed for the tournament and got a first-round bye. In the second round, they posted an 8-2 victory over Schuylerville’s Owen Greene and Michael Gale before topping Scotia-Glenville’s Nick Neilson and Lucas Kownack in the third round, 8-2.

In the semifinals, they notched an 8-4 victory over Scotia-Glenville’s Ethan McKone and Keith Ogden. In the championship match, the duo registered an 8-5 victory over Queensbury’s Brady Stark and Aidan Rowley.
