Raiders swept by Lakers
CANANDAIGUA — The Fulton-Montgomery Community College softball team dropped both ends of its doubleheader at Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday.
The Lakers won the first game, 11-6, and the second game, 14-12.
In the opener, Finger Lakes scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth innings on its way to the win.
Alyssa Bolcato was 3-for-3 with a home run, double, four RBIs and two runs scored for the Lakers, while Rachel Graf was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored.
Chantel Truitt had a double, two singles and scored two runs for Finger Lakers, while Marissa Waterman and Linda Coleman each had two hits.
Marque Pacillo was 4-for-4 with a double and three runs scored for FMCC, while Emily Washburn had a double, single and two RBIs.
Alex Benfatti was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Juliana Buyce, Mallory Baldwin, Sierra Logan and Anganese Gomez all had singles.
In the second game, Finger Lakes scored eight runs in the first inning and held off a rally by the Lady Raiders.
The teams combined for 31 hits and 26 runs in the game.
Melanie Gleason, Morgan Maloney, Graf and Coleman all had three hits for Finger Lakes (2-22 overall), while Bolcato had a single, double and two RBIs.
Sierra Logan had a single, double, RBI and scored a run to lead FMCC, while Buyce and Washburn each had two hits and two RBIs. Benfatti and Juliet Sear each had two hits for the Lady Raiders.
FMCC (0-6 overall) is scheduled to host Herkimer College in a doubleheader Thursday. The first game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
