AHS boys lacrosse loses to Queensbury

AMSTERDAM — Nate Stone finished with four goals and three assists to lead Queensbury to a 21-3 victory over Amsterdam in a Foothills Council boys lacrosse game at Lynch Literacy Academy on Tuesday.

Paul Wright had four goals and two assists for the Spartans, Connor white had three goals and four assists, and Brendan Duffy added two goals and three assists. Sean Collins posted two goals and an assist for Queensbury, Hunter Montgomery and Augustine Longhitano each had two goals, and Grant Riley had a goal and an assist. Nick Pereau also scored for the Spartans, while Alex Chirgwin and Asa Edwards each had an assist.

Andy Welch and Matt Crounse scored for Amsterdam.

Kellen Gannon (6 saves) and Kyle Miller (2 saves) shared time in goal for Queensbury (7-3 overall, 4-1 Foothills).

Matt Johnson made six saves for Amsterdam (0-6 overall, 0-5 Foothills), which is scheduled to travel to Johnstown for a non-league contest Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
