Three area athletes compete for Cobleskill
HAMILTON — The SUNY Cobleskill men’s indoor track and field team posted to team score of 84 points on Saturday to place fourth in a field of 10 teams at the 2019 Class of ’32 Invitational hosted by Colgate University at the university’s Sanford Field House.
Cobleskill posted a number of strong individual efforts on the day led by freshman sprinter Kevon Boucaud (Amsterdam), who was a three event winner at the meet taking the: 60-meter dash in 7.12 seconds, the 200-meter dash in 23.16 seconds and the long jump with a mark of 22-11 3/4.
Sophomore multi-event athlete Tyler Brado (Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville) was also a winner for the Orange & Black in the high jump clearing a height of 6-6. Brado also was part of the distance medley relay team that placed second with a time of 11:09.14.
Freshman thrower Chris Yarush (Fonda-Fultonville) placed third in the shot put with a toss of 40-9 3/4 and seventh in the 35-pound weight throw with a 42-9 effort.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action Feb. 22 when they travel to New York, when they travel to the New Balance Track & Field Center for the Armory Last Chance Meet beginning at 3 p.m.
