HOBOKEN, N.J. — Jess Broad scored a game high 22 points with eight rebounds to lead the Stevens Institute of Technology to a 72-62 victory over The Sage Colleges in Empire 8 women’s basketball action at Canavan Arena Tuesday night.

The Ducks improved to 9-6 overall and 4-2 in the Empire 8, while the Gators fell to 7-7 for the season and 2-3 in the league.

Sage was led by freshman forward Giuliana Pritchard, an Amsterdam graduate, who recorded a career- and game-high 15 rebounds along with eight points. A total of 11 of her rebounds came on the defensive boards, and eclipsed her previous high of nine boards against Widener.

Senior guard Emily Parslow, a Fonda-Fultonville graduate, scored eight points for the Gators and her 1,179 career points leaves her just 20 away from third all-time at Sage.

Sage is back in action for an Empire 8 home game tonight against Alfred at 5:30 p.m.
