H.S. Bowling Roundup: Gloversville clinches Foothills Council title with win over Johnstown

GLOVERSVILLE — Riley Griffiths had games of 208 and 227 as part of a 627 series to help Gloversville post a 4-0 victory over Johnstown in a Foothills Council bowling match at Arterial Lanes.

The win clinched the Foothills Council title for Gloversville.

Lane Daley had a 253-620 for the Huskies, Derek Taylor rolled a 215-578 and Adam Loveless added a 200-526.

Noah Barner had a 216-615 to lead Johnstown (15-53 Foothills), while Mick Winton posted a 215-588. M.J. Enchautegui finished with a 212-559 for the Sir Bills.

Gloversville (57-11 Foothills) finished with a 3,369-2,989 advantage in total pins.

Broadalbin-Perth 4, Queensbury 0

SOUTH GLENS FALLS — Matt Danise rolled a 223-624 to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a Foothills Council victory over Queensbury at Kingpin’s Alley.

Alex Filmer finished with a 248-297 for the Patriots, while Mike Piska added a 210-541.

Tony Fedele had a 195-549 to lead Queensbury, Alyssa Clark posted a 216-547 and Sevanah Dulasky added a 171-434.

Broadalbin-Perth finished with a 3,206-2,560 advantage in total pins.

SOUTH GLENS FALLS — Jon Schultz had games of 219 and 267 on his way to a 637 series to lead Amsterdam to a Foothills Council victory over Glens Falls at Kingpin’s Alley.

Nic Carbone rolled a 227-632 for the Rams, Kai Brennan had a 278-629 and Mark Schultz added a 218-584.

Austin Montello led Glens Falls with a 266-659. Payton Granger had a 200-569 for the Indians (19-49 Foothills), Jocelyn Smith had a 210-554 and Joe Cook added a 203-520.

Amsterdam (51-17 Foothills) finished with a 3,344-3,132 advantage in total pins.

Hudson Falls 2, Schuylerville 2

FORT EDWARD — Logan Bennett rolled a 242-636 to help Hudson Falls earn a tie with Schuylerville in a Foothills Council match at Broadway Lanes.

Patrick Randall posted a 256-615 for the Tigers, Aaron Fuller finished with a 215-581 and Gavin Bennett added a 189-527.

Charlie Sherman finished with a 256-624 to lead Schuylerville, while Colton Weatherwax had a 215-616. Ethan Corlew rolled a 232-583 for the Black Horses and Logan Steele added a 214-578.

Hudson Falls finished with a 3,360-3,345 advantage in total pins.

South Glens Falls 3, Scotia-Glenville 1

SCHENECTADY — Jacob Hall finished with a 243-680 to lead South Glens Falls to a Foothills Council victory over Scotia-Glenville at Boulevard Bowl.

Mykal Brunelle had a 267-670 for the Bulldogs (51-17 Foothills), Kara Rapp rolled a 227-663 and Will Bickford added a 247-643.

Jacob McKenzie finished with a 272-632 to lead Scotia-Glenville (31-27 Foothills), E.J. Adams had a 226-606 and Jacy Roman posted a 231-591. Ryan Rockwell added a 205-576 for the Tartans.

South Glens Falls finished with a 3,706-3,504 advantage in total pins.

AMSTERDAM — Hayden Auspelmyer finished with games of 222 and 208 on his way to a 614 series to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Canajoharie at Kelly’s Imperial Lanes.

Connor Barnes posted a 227-601 for the Braves, Dylan Livingston had a 236-522 and Matthew Bowler recorded a 200-536. Korey Davis added a 190-501 for FFCS, which finished with a 2,853-2,514 advantage in total pins.

Cian DiMezza finished with a 208-567 to lead Canajoharie, while Louis DiLorenzo posted a 231-520. Barry Yerdon added a 179-505 for the Cougars.

CANAJOHARIE — Zack Young rolled a 199-554 to help Fort Plain earn a tie with Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons in a WAC match at Iroquois Lanes.

Landen VanAlstine recorded a 184-528 for the Hilltoppers, while Damien Young added a 191-512.

Evan Simonds posted a 199-548 to lead Bishop Gibbons and Matt Kordziel added a 215-551. Joey Matala finished with a 171-496 for the Golden Knights.

Fort Plain finished with a 2,732-2,727 advantage in total pins.

AMSTERDAM — Melissa Bates finished with a 169-460 to lead Canajoharie to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Fonda-Fultonville at Kelly’s Imperial Lanes.

Chloe Hoffman rolled a 174-438 for the Lady Cougars and Katelynn Kruger added a 150-361.

Crystal Coleman finished with a 177-458 to lead FFCS, while Mackenzie Quillan added a 139-360.
