Boys Basketball Roundup: Boyle scores 41 to lead Johnstown to win over Amsterdam

AMSTERDAM — Matthew Boyle finished with 41 points to lead Johnstown to a Foothills Council victory at Amsterdam.

The Sir Bills have won five straight games and seven of their last eight contests.

Keegan Feinour, Anthony Frasier and Trey Stover all finished with eight points for Johnstown (8-5 overall, 8-4 Foothills).

Kevin Perez finished with 20 points to lead Amsterdam (6-8 overall, 6-6 Foothills), which has lost six of its last seven games.

Peyton Ausfeld (14 points), Jeff Brennan (11) and Caydren Graveley (10) also hit double digits for the Rams.

The Dragons outscored the Tartans 16-2 in the third quarter on their way to their ninth straight win.

Julian Deumaga scored 20 points, including five 3-points for Gloversville (12-1 overall, 10-1 Foothills), while Joey Rowback had 13 points. Deumaga also had 11 rebounds, while Anderson Jones added eight assists.

Andrew LaMorta scored 12 points to lead Scotia-Glenville (5-7 Foothills), while Mike Aydlott added 10 points.

NORTHVILLE — Garret Delaney connected on four 3-pointers as part of an 18-point effort to lead Mayfield to a WAC victory over Northville. Delaney also had 10 rebounds.

The Panthers led 35-31 at the half and outscored the Falcons 29-15 after the break to earn their fifth straight win.

Anthony Yuret (14 points), Trevon Gifford (11) and Evan Lehr (10) all hit double figures for Mayfield (11-4 overall, 7-2 WAC). Daniel Leach added nine points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Panthers. Lehr also had 14 rebounds and three assists.

Nate Reidell scored a game-high 24 points to lead Northville (6-9 overall, 1-7 WAC), while Jason Ellsworth had 10 points and 10 rebounds. T.J. Wadsworth added eight points for the Falcons.
