AHS swimmers lose to Albany Academy

AMSTERDAM — Albany Academy won all 11 events on its way to a 124-29 victory over Amsterdam in a non-league boys swim meet at Lynch Literacy Academy on Tuesday.

Brayden Henkel won the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke for Albany Academy, while Ian Young (100 backstroke), Bryce Henkel (500 freestyle), Nick O’Brien (200 freestyle), Gil Dexter (50 freestyle), Michael Arakelian (1-meter diving), and Jake O’Haire (100 freestyle) also posted wins.

Albany Academy also won the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

Alex Slovack was second in the 100 breaststroke for Amsterdam.

The 400 freestyle relay was not scored after Albany Academy entered its teams as exhibition.
