Girls Soccer Roundup: Lady Bills rout Glens Falls, 10-0

JOHNSTOWN — Carolyn Fitzpatrick finished with three goals and two assists to power Johnstown to a 10-0 victory over Glens Falls in a Foothills Council girls soccer contest Friday at Johnstown High School.

Jenna Thompson had three goals and one assist for the Lady Bills, while Madison Delgado had two goals. Taylor Vose and Maryann Austin also scored for Johnstown, while Abby Gottung added an assist.

Hope Buboltz made five saves to post the shutout for the Lady Bills.

Makayla Bennett made 25 saves for Glens Falls.

Johnstown (1-1-1 overall, 1-1-1 Foothills) is scheduled to host Gloversville today at 7 p.m.

Queensbury 3, Broadalbin-Perth 0

QUEENSBURY — Bridgid Duffy scored twice to lead Queensbury to a Foothills Council victory over Broadalbin-Perth on Friday.

Sophia Keshmiri also scored for the Spartans, while Meghan O’Connor, Cara Parker and Ali Wallace each had an assist.

Christina Cummings and Kaleigh Hunt each made one save to share the shutout in goal for Queensbury (3-0 overall, 3-0 Foothills).

Morgan Rossi made 19 saves for Broadalbin-Perth (2-2 overall, 1-2 Foothills)


Canajoharie 3, Galway 2

GALWAY — Kylee Richard, Alexz Lathers and Victoria Adams scored to lead Canajoharie to a Western Athletic Conference victory over Galway on Friday.

Rachel Wnuk and Sarah Ernst each had a goal and an assist for the Golden Eagles.

Hunter Pitcher made two saves for Canajoharie (3-0 overall, 1-0 WAC)

Ruth Reichard made 12 saves for Galway (0-3 overall, 0-1 WAC).

Mayfield 5, Mekeel Christian 3

SCOTIA — Lindsey Hampton finished with two goals and an assist to lead Mayfield to a WAC victory over Mekeel Christian Academy on Friday.

Emily Senese had a goal and an assist for the Lady Panthers, while Kelsey Meca and Taryn LaFontaine also scored.

Jo Galarneau scored twice for Mekeel Christian, while Jillian Ballard scored once.

Kat Knecht made two saves for Mayfield (1-2 overall, 1-0 WAC), which outshot Mekeel Christian by a 16-5 margin.

Angel Barton made 11 saves for Mekeel Christian.

Fort Plain 1, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 0

FORT PLAIN — Jenna Reese scored the game’s only goal to lead Fort Plain to a victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo in a WAC contest.

On Thursday, Kendra Przestrzelski and Faith Rende scored to lift Fort Plain (2-1 overall, 1-0 WAC) to a non-league victory over Sharon Springs.

Alivia Chase scored the lone goal for Sharon Springs.

Middleburgh 0, Duanesburg 0

DUANESBURG — Madison Stealy made four saves for Duanesburg in a scoreless draw with Middleburgh.

Keene 6, Wells 0

WELLS — Alyssa Summo finished with three goals and an assist to lead Keene to a victory over Wells on Thursday.

Megan Quinn scored twice for the Beavers, while Emily Whitney had a goal and two assists. Lura Johnson added an assist for Keene (1-0 overall, 1-0 NSL)

Sophia Johnson made four save to post the shutout in goal for the Beavers.

Wells (0-1 overall, 0-1 NSL) is scheduled to travel to Indian Lake/Long Lake on Tuesday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.


OESJ 1, Morrisville-Eaton 1

ST. JOHNSVILLE — Magdelena Pellerito scored the lone goal for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville in a tie win Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton in the New York State Hall of Fame Tournament on Friday.

Ashley Snyder scored a first-half goal for Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton.

Ashlee Shelmandine made three saves for OESJ (1-1-1 overall), which outshot Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton, 15-4.

Lauren Rodriguez made nine saves for Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton.
