Several B-P athletes commit to colleges

BROADALBIN – Nine Broadalbin-Perth Patriots will be playing collegiate sports this fall.

Athletic Director Matthew Ehrenreich recognized each student-athlete for their accomplishments on and off the field.

“Making it to the next level of athletics, any level, is a major accomplishment,” Ehrenreich said in a news release. “I’m so proud of this group that will represent B-P in the NCAA next year. We’re looking forward their continued success.”

Kayla Weaver (Russell Sage/volleyball), Alex Gardner (Alfred University/football), Matthew Hinderliter (Stevenson University/baseball), Joey Vitalis (Utica College/track and field), Zach Johnson (Utica College/track and field), Olivia Casey (SUNY Delhi/volleyball), Nyah Thompson (SUNY Cobleskill/women’s basketball), William Austin (SUNY Canton/men’s soccer) and Dom Zippiere (FMCC/golf) all will play in college.
