Hudson Division wins WAC all-star game

GALWAY — Mayfield’s Juliana Buyce scored the game-winning run on a walk-off wild pitch to lead the Hudson Division to an 11-10 victory over the Mohawk Division in the Western Athletic Conference senior all-star game Tuesday at Galway High School.

Buyce, who shared Hudson Division Most Valuable Player honors with Galway’s Jill Quay, finished with a double, two singles and four runs scored. Quay had two singles.

Mayfield’s Sydney Sheldon had two singles for the Hudson Division all-stars, while Mayfield’s Kaylee Hampton had a single and an RBI. Mayfield’s Sydney Benton doubled for the Hudson Division squad, while Galway’s Hanna Darling had a double and an RBI.

Fort Plain’s Kendall Kennedy and Middleburgh’s Jenna Warner each had three singles and two RBIs for the Mohawk Division all-stars to share MVP honors.

Duanesburg’s Morgan Hoffmann had a double and two singles for the Mohawk all-stars, Middleburgh’s Lexi Stephens had a single and two RBIs and Fort Plain’s Emily Marsh added a single.
